I’ve been looking at artists for my sci fi novel potential book cover, should I somehow decide to publish it.
These things often need advance planning, if you get a really good artist.
I don’t even know if my text is good, but assuming it is, I’m looking out 6+ months for a good artist.
Luckily my business throws out enough free cash flow that I don’t care financially. I just don’t want to hurt any artists’ feelings if I don’t use their stuff.
So I’m like, debating between two great artist portfolios. Part of me wanted to hire both, and then see which turns out better. But I didn’t want to hurt eithers’ feelings. I was like “maybe whichever one is not as good could be a limited edition.”
I wanted to run it by my husband, but I already knew what he would say. And yet, I asked him, and he was like “Yeah, hire both obviously. Fucking hunger games thereafter. Pick the best.”
Alas.

Look what happened to Zap Stream. Freeloaders took advantage of the free sats, and now new users don’t get them anymore. This is exactly why I said that, going forward on the Bitcoin standard, nothing should be free. There are too many freeloaders on the internet.
What were they doing? Were they creating new accounts every time their balance hit 0 just to stream forever?
When I joined, I received 1000 free sats and have been streaming with those ever since. Once my balance hits 0, I’ll reload my account because I support Zap Stream and want to see the platform improve.
Push back against the freeloaders. We will win.

I just read the EO for the reserve and honestly it sounds fantastic. I don’t know what everyone is frowning upon.
The fact that that is no buying happening is probably a good thing since this is being put into a single basket with shitcoins. You don’t want the public to get angry (rightfully) for utilizing tax payer money to buy shitcoins. That would be a PR disaster for bitcoin by mere association.
This is like the first time we have had any positive press from the White House that paints bitcoin in positive light and that is huge. I’m actually glad they are not going to buy any further bitcoin at the moment because I don’t want them to have any. This gives us more time to stack, for natural adoption to take place to hopefully severely limit the available bitcoin for the reserve, should the time come to buy.
It’s unlikely congress would approve of any such spending anyway, so it’s weird that bitcoiners expected there to buy purchasing going on. Though, this EO DOES spell out that there will be a review of strategies to acquire more:
“(c) The Secretary of the Treasury and the Secretary of Commerce shall develop strategies for acquiring additional Government BTC provided that such strategies are budget neutral and do not impose incremental costs on United States taxpayers.”
This is the correct path I believe, unless that acquisition involves civil forfeiture (which it could… and I don’t think anyone would be happy with that).
