For sure. For clarity, I'm apprehensive about draining filters just because I'm an industrial electrician. I've worked in several waste water plants where they recycle water. Most of them add bleach to the water, which depending on the source can be dozens of chemicals involved, so the idea that something could be a catch all filter makes me nervous. Sorry to shit on your parade guy 😆
Don't trust too hard is all I'm saying, but hell yeah to betterment 🥳

I called QuickBooks Self-Employed to see if I could lower my rate or change my subscription. The person who answered wasn’t speaking clearly, and trying to understand them was honestly painful. I hung up, took a break, and tried calling back an hour later - only to get the same person again. Unsurprisingly, I still couldn’t make sense of the subscription options. There’s nothing worse than reaching out to customer support and getting zero actual support.
With all that being said, I’m open to any alternatives to self-employed QuickBooks. #asknostr

Do you pay the creator and the platform directly for all the videos that you blocked the ads from? You are using somebody else's property in a way they didn't agree with. So, you better offer some compensation via other means.
If you want to watch it without ads, pay the provider of those services and/or the creator directly. That's why we are here.
It doesn't matter how little the creator gets from you on an ad-based system. If everyone blocks ads, neither the platform, not the creator would exist. So the ad is essential to the terms and conditions of the material you are consuming.

Our lifes make sense looking back. Rarely we truly understand what's really happening in real time and what's the point of each experience. I grew up Christian, then I went on my own on many different paths. A few years ago before my bitcoin journey I came back to my senses and met Christ. I wish I had the words to express that experience but I don't. I'm sure my little detour of 20y was key to that encounter. I wouldn't have accepted it otherwise 😇

If I did it, it’s because it’s pretty straightforward 😅. It's even easier since I’m doing it all on Umbrel, where I run my Bitcoin node, then on top of it runs the Lightning Node, and Alby Hub is built on top.
At this point, I have just one open channel (with Megalith LSP, the one Alby Hub suggests by default). It’s a private channel, so there’s no routing, just for spending. Managing a public one seems too tricky for me at the moment 🧐.

I agree. That's why we have been fighting for so long to minimize the effectiveness of Nostr players from becoming ad-based businesses.
But we are not there today. Most clients don't even check if the hash from Blossom is still the same as the author intended. Imagine other services that don't even offer a way to check.
