bittorrent can work but the problem is incentives for running replicas, and that's a problem we can probably solve with NWC then the next problem is proof of service
arweave has been working on that sort of thing for their replicas, but their economics model in general is ugh

Well, who pays to host the videos? They eat up storage space and bandwidth.
Self-hosting seems to be the answer I always receive, but that just shifts the cost and effort to the person posting, which greatly raises the friction to post.
There's a reason why the companies behind this stuff are worth billions of dollars: they own and run gigantic server farms.

Vibe coding boom will get many end users in trouble.
While it is a huge leap forward that allows enthusiasts to bring their ideas to life, majority of the new apps will be built in a reckless way by clueless people.
At the same time building something that does not interact with user data while improving your project is a win-win.
For example, I finally managed to automate my 3 year old project nostr:npub1tcalvjvswjh5rwhr3gywmfjzghthexjpddzvlxre9wxfqz4euqys0309hn and it now automatically posts historical Bitcoin events to Nostr. I know the code is bloated and ugly, I don’t know (yet) how to fix this, but automation works and that’s good enough for now.

Children imitate, so it doesn't really matter what you say to them but what you do around them. This is why reading to them from Day 1 is really important. Change the name of the characters to theirs so they'll be more immersed in the book. The first 7 years will 100% dictate the rest of their life.

on the outside it looked like a sammich, and then you open it up and it had all these pretty painted papier mache and various things with like ad panels on the inside

What client did you repost from? Primal shows there were 8 reposts but only lists 5.. I’ve seen these sort of issues in Primal before, not sure if there is some interoperability issue between the way clients are dealing with reposts or just a bug in Primal.

My second one was recently, I was out for a walk. A scared and skittish Jack Russell, on a cold winter day, running around in a slightly busy intersection. I finally caught it and grabbed it after blocking traffic for a few minutes, and it basically climbed into my coat 😂 luckily it had a tag with a phone number, so it was easy to find the owner and they came to grab it.

I literally can't use Amethyst. I've reported some major bugs, including with screen captures, and they don't get fixed. And the way it just drains my mobile plan is outrageous.
It's fun to use, so I keep installing it and getting burned, over and over, like it's a bad boyfriend.

It was kind of wild because the dog was so friendly im surprised no one else had helped her out yet and she just saw me and was like oh boy a human and like wouldn't leave my side.
Luckily, she was registered through some pet registration service and our local animal control was able to find her owner's number and get in touch with them.
