Yup. The problems that I ran into were that: 1) Many contacts didn't have NIP-65 available; and 2) There is a centralizing factor for NIP-65 events for efficiency, so you don't need to ask a thousand relays for the latest info for a thousand plus contacts.
Still curious if there could be a query to a relay for NIP-65 listings where if they didn't have it, they could ask their neighbors for it, that they are already connected. This however assumes there is a network topology and a peer-to-peer network between relay to relay to sync those events to each other.

i see, and can you explain now how i have over 1000 followers and yet i get no visibility and i'm building one of the best relays that exists and i'm damn well gonna make a proper cross platform native kind 1 app, it just probably won't have video playback
it's such a low target to hit, and in 2.5 years that's as good as it's got
all that money paid to devs to build the same shit over and over again that doesn't work and gets increasingly broken the more features they add, because they are incompetent losers with no real financial incentives to actulaly create a quality product

right now its problem seems to be.. relay lists are so fragmented and clients cant decypher where to connect. they endlessly loop over relays that dont exist or have no notes.
this is what blastr methods and ignoring relays completely in clients got us.

i finally had enough today of trying to get the developers of https://gioui.org to understand that the internal packages they have in their repo obstructs the reuse of their widget code
this is now at last remedied

with this, you can literally copy the `widget` directory into your own repo and fork it to do better and more things
this drove me so crazy for so long and today i just finna had enough
this library is the most competent cross platform UI rendering library, it works pixel perfect on macos, windows, linux, android and ios, and has done so for about 5 years but nobody has built a proper fucking widget library for it, the one they have in there is abominable and shitty
there's no proper tooltips, there's no popup menus, there's barely anything
there is other work people have done to build these things and they are nice but they are similarly retarded, and now i can easily fix this problem, and build a proper fucking GUI for #golang
oh yeah, and did i forget to mention it can be used as a GUI library for web apps?
yeah, all of these things
the people who are building it are insanely good at what they do, and insanely toxic to their fellow Go developers and in general fellow developers
