Yakihonne is GREAT for user on-boarding. They have a build in NWC wallet that users can setup as part of the on-boarding process. They can then begin writing normal notes or long form content and being receiving and sending zaps immediately. Besides all of this, Yakihonne is probably one of the best designed Nostr applications ever. The UI and UX is fantastic all around. Smart Widgets are super fun too!

The reason phrase shouldn't be interpreted by software. It can be emtpy. The sole purpose is for humans when humans read the raw protocol. But that PHP library seems to know that. It has hardcoded reason phrases, and uses them if the reason is empty:

Gossip doesn't debug log every incoming event. Maybe I should do that at trace level, but it doesn't even do that. It does debug-log if the event doesn't validate.

The amount of people in my age group, especially women, who have been completely propagandized by social media and school is startling.
The majority of people I talk to are completely detached from reality in one way or another.
An appeal to emotion is an easy propaganda tactic and it is highly successful. They have learned "outside-in" thinking, where they value dead tribes, immigrants, homeless bums, and strangers more then their own families, children, friends, and communities.
They will tell you they feel ashamed to be an American, ashamed to be white, ashamed to strive for wealth, and ashamed to have any impact on the world. It's social destruction.

building a feed or several of them that are useful takes time and effort. nostr applications can do a lot with user and client discovery to help in this regard.
