For influencers, it's THE main metric to show sponsors, so I inderstand why follower count is a focus. If an influencer can't show a high follower account, they won't get much sponsorship.
But if you've been on Nostr long enough to have 700 followers, you also know that the follower count is never accurate. A better metric for Nostr would be daily/monthly "hits" (boosts, reacts, comments, and zaps).

25 years ago I took out a policy that I paid into monthly that matured in November.
Still awaiting for the payment to hit my Banck Account.
Still getting excuses such as "we are experiencing high volumes of requests".
I was 23 years old when I started it, which I though was a very prudent thing to do as a young man.
I have been raped with fees, the fund didn't even outperform the stock market the money I am receiving buys 50% of what it used to and I would have lost 85% of the value if I had folded it early.

it should be possible to extrapolate consistent input from only probabilities of output.

据说『好东西』豆瓣评分超过『霸王别姬』，我看就是普通的不能再普通的浪漫喜剧类型片，加了些女权思想的说教就成神作了？
当然霸王别姬被说成中国电影天花板，我也不觉得，陈凯歌只是沾了题材的光，电影拍摄手法还是蛮传统蛮老套的
好东西拍的还是不错的，最大的问题是台词不像角色说的话，所有角色都只是编剧的嘴替，是编剧女权思想的肉喇叭
