I tried Plex first. I didn’t like it. It has streaming similar to Netflix.
Then I tried Jellyfin. Much better. Fully customizable. There’s also lots of plugins you can add (some to skip the intro in anime for example). Also Jellyfin is open source, contrary to Plex.

since running public private-frontends is so targeted nowadays, but they sort of work for personal use, I'm surprised no one monetized yet on getting a btc or xmr payment and giving out access to a private invidious, nitter, proxigram, whatever, instances.
there's still some public instances that work, but they go down from time to time so it's not always guaranteed

Maybe this is far fetched, but could the strategic shitcoin reserve be part of a bigger long term strategy? Knowing some of these coins have tiny market caps, they could easily pump them 100x if big money comes in, then sell and convert into bitcoin.

Please rewrite the github issue without the snide remarks...
The existing v0.42.0 version is using nostr-tools and custom auth handling logic. there aren't any checks if a relay needs auth before making a REQ so it probably keeps spamming REQs while its waiting for the user to approve the authentication
The next v0.43.0 version is using rx-nostr which has checks if relays require auth. the auths still have to be manually approved by the user (or auto if an option is enabled) but this should at prevent the app from spamming REQ while the auth process is happening
