I got the measles as a reaction to the measles vaccine as an infant in the early 80s. I ended up in the hospital. I had seizures and could've died. I got my kids vaccinated against measles anyway. None of them have had it or negative reactions.
To note: I also got chicken pox multiple times, I've had shingles in my adult life and I'm under 45. I also had mumps years after being vaccinated against it. I may be a special case.
