Meh. Factory reset it. Set it all up again. Use the same SSID and password so your WiFi devices all reconnect. That's not a big deal, just more work.

Many blame the Eurodollar market for Bretton Woods’ collapse. But from an Austrian perspective, this was a symptom, not the cause. The real issue?
• The U.S. printed too much money to fund the Vietnam War and welfare expansion.
• Foreign central banks had to inflate their own currencies to avoid their dollar reserves losing value.
• This global inflationary spiral inevitably pushed gold higher as the market lost trust in fiat.
Gold’s divergence from other commodities wasn’t random—it was monetary insurance against government theft. The free market was screaming: “The dollar is dying.”
🔳 Why Bretton Woods Collapsed
The final nail in the coffin wasn’t global trade imbalances or banking complexity. It was the fundamental contradiction at its core:
• The U.S. wanted unlimited monetary expansion and a fixed gold price.
• But inflation makes gold undervalued at the peg.
• Eventually, foreign countries (especially France) started calling the bluff—demanding gold instead of holding devaluing dollars.
By 1971, Nixon had two choices:
1. Stop inflating (and crash the system), or
2. Kill the gold standard and go full fiat.
He took the easy way out. The result? The permanent inflation regime we live under today.
🟧 The Lesson? Fiat Always Fails
Now #Nostr they want a new #Bretton Woods—a “reset” of the global financial system. But that’s just fiat 2.0. The only real solution is what the free market has always chosen: sound money.

Seizure does not scale at an individual level. There will most likely be people who get their coins seized, yes, but those will be the people who didn't prepare and were unfortunately too care-free about their custody setups. This can be seen with the gold seizures.
Also, nationwide seizures are more indicative of a failing state rather than a failure of Bitcoin. If this were to come, it would be more of a signal for people to flee and for others not to enter that particular state. Those who own Bitcoin will be most well equipped to do so.

I'm trying to set up StartOS on a server. I flashed the SD. It's plugged in and Ethernet is connected to the router. I go to https://start.local and it's always telling me Server Not Found. I tried different browsers. I tried a Tor browser.

Got word from the realtor: We had a potential buyer walk through the property. Feedback was good, bigger than they expected.
Fingers crossed that they buy! This will be the first of three major steps to us finally moving toward our #homesteading dream.
Steps that need to happen for us to be able to move forward:
1. Sell our old rental property and pay off the remainder of the mortgage on that property. Remainder will purchase our new property, and fill the equity on our current home.
2. Sell our current home, pay off the mortgage and claim back the equity.
3. Move!
