In a new paper published in the journal Physical Review Letters, scientists from Nanjing University in China and the Max Planck Institute in Germany detail how they stumbled across a simpler method for achieving quantum entanglement—that strange quantum mechanical quirk Albert Einstein once poetically referred to as “spooky action at distance.” Seemingly connecting particles (even across vast distances) so that one cannot be independently described without the other, quantum entanglement forms “the basis for research on the foundations of quantum mechanics and for practical applications such as quantum networks,” the authors wrote.

广西文革期间杀了多少人
1983年1月我平反回桂林时，游行举的标语牌有两句口号：广西在文革中死难的六十万男女老少尸骨未寒！韦国清一身是血！我说的“六十万”，是民间传闻的数字，不准确。
这几个数字是权威的：
有人根据 区民政厅“死者家属补贴”和公安厅“非正常死亡”的统计评估为20万人；
1983年“处遗”后官方统计的有名有姓的被害者是8万9千多人；
中共中央顾问委员会副主任严佑民，1983年率整党巡视组来广西视察后说：“有人说广西杀了20万人，‘处遗’得出的数字是8万多，我走了21个县，认为取两方面的中间数15万比较真实。”
这些人，均死在支持韦国清的“广西联指”党政军民学成员刀下，他自然要负主要责任。
韦国清至少是历史上少有的“酷吏”，原桂林市市委副书记王同连说：“韦国清应该列入中国的《酷吏列传》里去，他的历史地位就在那里！”这已是历史的结论。
韦国清搞大屠杀手段十分狡猾，他从不个人直接指挥，而是用操纵、纵容、默许的方法，来达到他的目的。
如他当了区“革筹”小组长后，1968年3月5日，就用“区革筹”主要成员魏佑铸（广西军区政委）的嘴，说广西有“反共救国团”，6月17日，又操纵“区革筹”和广西军区，发布《关于破获反革命集团“中华民国反共救国团广西分团”反革命案件的公告》，“广西联指”总部立即发布《关于彻底摧毁蒋匪反革命集团“中华民国反共救国团广西分团”的总攻击令》，造成广西各地数以万计的“广西4·22”成员和无辜群众因此冤案被屠杀。
又如当他用谎报军情和栽赃的手段，弄得中央也说南宁反抗武装镇压的“4·22”是“土匪”，是“国民党”，要“围剿”，要“实行歼灭”时，他就以执行中央指示的名义，操纵广西军区直接指挥部队，攻打南宁展览馆和解放路，把“4·22”彻底消灭了。
再如1968年7、8月，是广西各地大屠杀的高潮，韦国清所控制的“区革筹”不下令禁止，至到9月，待“联指”把要杀的、能够杀得到的人，几乎都杀光了，才下令制止。这叫纵容。

My company has recently started adding BTC to its balance sheet, which makes me _very_ happy. One side effect is that at our weekly leadership calls, we're now regularly discussing short-term BTC price action. Yesterday, I finally came around to the idea that we're going to be range bound between $85k-$95k for a while. Not that it bothers me personally, I'm a long term HODLer, but business needs are different and require shorter term time horizons. And this appears to be a pretty widely held consensus view.
Watching this Swan video this morning, it's making me wonder: since there's finally consensus growing that the BTC price isn't about to explode, are we ready for people's expectations to be subverted once more? I can't wait to hear what the announcement is later today on the strategic reserve, should be very interesting. #bitcoin
