I learned arithmetic when I was told "I won't always have a calculator in my pocket"
I do have a calculator. It's almost always near me. If it's not, there's almost always someone near me who jas one. It anticipates the math I would ask for & adds live internet context. And oh yeah it understands and speaks fucking english to me!

Very on point, especially on the religious buffet and Spinoza; I also like the moral flywheel imagery of self-first, then others.
I do believe despite our need to help ourselves we are inherently moral. The lack of complete understanding that there is more that exists outside of and past our own lives is what causes us to think in a zero-sum way, making us focus on either the self of the other, when they are in fact one in the same. It's more mindset and philosophy that get us to that level of enlightenment, but that is obviously held back (though, sometimes propelled) primarily by our own egos and immediate physical needs.

I hadn't thought about it from this angle before, but you're right. The incentive is to be civil and provide value or else you won't receive zaps, so people moderate themselves for the most part, and are helpful to new users.
You want the zaps? Don't be a jerk and you'll get the zaps.
And most folks don't need to be told this, either. They just see based on their interactions that they get more sats when they are kind and helpful than when they are snarky and rude.

Speaking of gold and silver, I was thinking, is gold actually worth as much as what it is? What is the percentage of gold to silver? Because it's not hundreds of times more rare than silver. In my opinion gold is super way over value gold should be like I don't know a couple hundred dollars per ounce And it's like Bitcoin. Bitcoin is super overvalued. But the problem is we're valuing gold and Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies off the US dollar. But it comes to Bitcoin being overvalued. It's overvalued because people are leveraging Bitcoin as a stock and not as a currency. And once people realize that it's no use, then the value will plummet below what it's actually worth. And if it doesn't get destroyed in that return, it will rise up to where it actually is valued at.
