Ich bin mit Menschen aus bestimmt 10 verschiedenen Ländern aufgewachsen. Unsere Eltern saßen zusammen zwischen den Blocks während wir die Nachbarschaft unsicher gemacht haben.
"Die Russen" haben Blenis gemacht, meine Mutter polnische Pierogi, Kenans Mutter hat Köfte mitgebracht, die Mutter aus Ghana hat leckeren Stew aus Hackfleisch gemacht, Andys Mutter brachte Kartoffelsalat oder richtig lecker kleine Frikadellen.
Alle saßen zusammen und haben ihre kulturellen Unterschiede gemeinsam respektiert. Die Gespräche von den Müttern waren sehr lautstark, da deutsch noch nicht gut genug war um eine gemeinsame Sprache zu sprechen, also hat man Hand und Fuß benutzt um sich zu verstehen. Gelacht haben wir trotzdem zusammen.
Und jetzt bin ich ganz unruhig z.B. an der Kasse, wenn ein Mensch hinter mir steht, der "wie ein Neubürger" aussieht. Freunde werden bestätigen, dass ich nie mit Angst oder Unsicherheit durch die Welt gelaufen bin. Mittlerweile trage ich einen Schlagring mit mir, wenn ich abends spazieren gehe.

when it comes to on-boarding, one of the largest hurdles on many nostr applications unfortunately surrounds one of the protocol's most innovative features - zaps. it should not be this difficult to setup zaps to participate in the value for value economy, but it is! we have two solutions to make this experience easier, thus far:
1) clients using built-in wallets such as Primal (or Current, but i think this client is now defunct?).
2) clients using built-in cashu wallets or nutzaps such as Iris or Olas.
an upcoming update to Olas will enable both of these. this functionality targets both types of new users.
1) new users that joined Primal for an easy zapping experience.
2) new users that joined Olas as their first point of entry into nostr.
now, the on-boarding experience will include easy zaps via a one-tap connection to your existing Primal wallet or a one-tap action to create a brand new nutzap wallet in Olas. on-boarding with zaps is about to get incredibly easier.

Love the nuances of conversations about God. We are bounded by our perspective and trying to describe something that encompasses everything -and not just that-might be the cause of everything. What blows my mind is scale variance in the physical universe. Are we to assume God loves us more or less than individual atoms or full galaxies. Or does God know us at all? Maybe we are like self aware gut biome of larger super-entities who move through their lives completely unaware of us. Is God self aware? Or perhaps we are the sense organs of God. Fun to ask questions. I only get annoyed when people claim to have answers. The idea that there is one way and only one way to be in relationship with God is so counterintuitive to the universe we see around us that it offends me.

RAM is absolutely the main factor for me. My little R-Pi Umbrel took a week to sync the chain back in May of 2021. Meanwhile, my Start9 powered through it overnight in January of 2024. Got the thing booted up after work at about 8pm and by the time I woke up the next morning, it was ready to rock.
Someone with much slower internet will have a bit different experience, I expect.
