I don't think I'm making a contrast. I originally said that bolt12 is bad for privacy if you reuse it, because it involves reusing a pubkey over and over again. After a correction from Matt, I slightly revise my point: it's still true that bolt12 is bad for privacy if you reuse it, but that's not because it involves reusing a pubkey over and over (though it does), it's because you're reusing *anything.* For good privacy, never reuse any data across two different services.

I see that as an OPSEC mitigation for security. There is value there, for sure, but most apps (all of them on my phone) with sensitive info have that option built in as well. If, for some reason, I left my phone unlocked and someone picked it up within the 30 seconds it takes to lock automatically, they wouldnt have access to anything sensitive.
But that doesnt really address the privacy.

It isn’t an effortless process. It’s definitely a new concept for those who aren’t used to it. I wouldn’t say that it’s any harder than figuring out health insurance or taxes. I wasn’t a techie when I joined and I wasn’t really into bitcoin. I understood bitcoin after I came to nostr. I understand bitcoin because of nostr. I think that normies could get it.

I've asked this before and looked online but have not found an answer. How is iOS better for privacy than Android? Especially now that they dropped some encryption for the EU? It seems to me that any security advantage stems from the same qualities that prevent a lot of apps from being available on iOS, i.e. their "walled garden." I also assume this point is reference to stock Android and not something like Graphene.

You're saying the government can't shutdown bitcoin if they wanted to. I agree. But they can shut down any single person by showing up in squad cars. And normies can't hide their bitcoin usage, so they would be violating any anti-bitcoin order and be arrested for the violation. Therefore, if the government outlaws bitcoin (but can't shut it down) they effectively shut down most people's ability to use bitcoin. The dark anonymous people with good op sec continue to use it and can't be shutdown even in that scenario.

What is Dementia?
According to the Mayo Clinic, dementia is a term used to describe a group of symptoms affecting memory, thinking and social abilities. The decline in function in these areas typically interferes with affected persons’ daily lives. Memory loss is usually the hallmark symptom, but disturbances in behavior, feelings, relationships and motor function are also involved. Dementia’s really is an umbrella term, as it is not just one disease. In fact, there are several types of dementia, with different causes.
The dementias that have been seen to be progressive, with patients getting worse over time include:
Lewy Body Dementia: common symptoms including sleep disturbances, visual hallucinations, issues with focus and attention, as well as uncoordinated slow movement, tremors, stiffness and parkinsonism.
Frontotemporal Dementia: common symptoms including deficits in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain leading to disturbances in personality, behavior, language, thinking, judgment and movement.
Vascular Dementia: this is the second-most common type of dementia. Common symptoms are brain blood vessel issues leading to strokes and mini-strokes that can create issues with problem-solving, thinking, focus, organization and memory loss.

Alzheimer’s Disease: the most common form of Dementia, accounting for up to 80% of all dementia cases. About 6.9 million people in the US and more than 55 million people around the world have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Common symptoms include memory loss, problems with communicating, visual-spatial abilities, reasoning, problem-solving, planning, organizing, confusion, disorientation, coordination and control of movements. There can also be behavioral disturbances, such as depression, anxiety, agitation, paranoia and hallucinations. As the symptoms typically gradually worsen over time, this leads to the patient becoming completely dependent on at least one other person before eventually dying with the disease.
