Poor is an identity. I know people who call themselves poor. They'll never have money because it contradicts their identity.
I've had a low income for most of my life, but I never identified as poor. My son's friend made fun of my old Toyota. When people think I'm poor, but it makes me feel like Clark Kent.
I bet some people look at Jack Dorsey and think, "How sad. This guy with this huge beard can't even afford a pair of shoes." 🤣

Or...She can stop eating fries and stack sats.

Have you listened to the latest Common Sense with Dan Carlin Lyn? Carlin was the first person I ever sent bitcoin to and he's been talking about civil liberties being stripped away for 30 years. He calls this his bias.
He read a letter from Abraham Lincoln to William H. Herndon, 15 February 1848. It's a powerful letter and I've been thinking about it in the context of the new administration ever sense. Trump is taking the opposite side of the first Republican president on this issue. I would love to hear your thoughts about it.
"Dear William:
Your letter of the 29th January was received last night- Being exclusively a constitutional argument, I wish to submit some reflections upon it in the same spirit of kindness that I know actuates you– Let me first state what I understand to be your position– It is, that if it shall become necessary, to repel invasion, the President may, without violation of the constitution, cross the line, and invade the teritory of another country; and that whether such necessity exists in any given case, the President is to be the sole judge–
Before going further, consider well whether this is, or is not your position– If it is, it is a position that neither the President himself, nor any friend of his, so far as I know, has ever taken– Their only positions are first, that the soil was ours where hostilities commenced, and second, that whether it was rightfully ours or not, Congress had annexed it, and the President, for that reason was bound to defend it, both of which are as clearly proved to be false in fact, as you can prove that your house is not mine. That soil was not ours; and Congress did not annex or attempt to
(Page 2)
annex it– But to return to your position: Allow the President to invade a neighboring nation, whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion, is to and you allow him to do so, whenever he may choose to say he deems it necessary for such purpose– and you allow him to make war at pleasure– Study to see if you can fix any limit to his power in this respect, after you have given him so much as you propose– If, to-day, he should choose to say he thinks it necessary to invade Canada, to prevent the British from invading us, how could you stop him? You may say to him, "I see no probability of the British invading us" but he will say to you "be silent; I see it, if you dont"–
The provision of the Constitution giving the war-making power to Congress, was dictated, as I understand it, by the following reasons—Kings had always been involving and impoverishing their people in wars, pretending generally, if not always, that the good of the people was the object– This, our convention understood to be the most oppressive of all Kingly oppressions; and they resolved to so frame the Constitution that no one man should hold the power of bringing this oppression upon us– But your view destroys the whole matter, and places our President where Kings have always stood. Write soon again–
Yours truly,
A Lincoln"

Most socialists make little money and people who don't have savings tend to have a high time-preference. I have never made much money income-wise(I just use better money and don't buy much), so I have empathy for these people, but socialism is never the utopia people claim it is.
People with lower incomes and a high time-preference tend to buy cheap carbs at fast food restaurants that accept CBD-Food Stamps, destroy their health, and drive up health insurance costs. Then the money breaks, people get pissed and we go through a fourth-turning(rinse and repeat).

I once asked someone I met on the orange pill app about the difference between Ayn Rand's Objectivism and Mises theory that all value is subjective.
He gave me a great answer. He said Mises essentially meant the same thing.
Reality, say my full node, is objective. My interpretation of that reality is subjective. We see bitcoin as a ledger verified by math and think our truth machine is undervalued, at least I do, but peoplenon nostr tend to agree. 😃
A lot of people tell me they "don't trust bitcoin." That's also subjctive, but it's based on an epistimology of feelings rather than logic(math).
Value, therefore, is a subjective interpretation of an objective reality. People who tend to judge objective reality with "feels" tend to be poor because they have a high time-preference and buy french fries on credit. People who use logic as an epistemic guide tend to buy assets.
It kind of is all in your head. A red baloon is red, but not everyone can see red.

The easiest way to accept #bitcoin price volotility was written over 2,000 years ago.
In 2016, I dressed like a homeless man and bought lunch with change from my closet at a grocery store.
I'll never forget the look of disdain on the cashier's face as I handed him my pennies. That was the worst part, but it wasn't that bad. The rest of being homeless is camping and a few sideways looks are not so bad.
Swings don't even phase me anymore. 75k bitcoin or 95k bitcoin doesn't make much difference to my emotional state anymore.

I plan on running UmbreOS using portainer in a VM tomorrow. Would it be better to pull it next week, or should I repull it for the update?

"220k by June," doesn't sound as good as nostr:nprofile1qqsqfjg4mth7uwp307nng3z2em3ep2pxnljczzezg8j7dhf58ha7ejgprpmhxue69uhhqun9d45h2mfwwpexjmtpdshxuet5qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2aqnz0fd0 's "200k by conference day."

Now that I think if it, Primal uses Blossom. I think you're good.

Peer Tube is like a foss YouTube. Jellyfin is a media server like a personal Netflix. There are some new p2p networking options like holesail I want to try, but it's very early and I'm not exactly sure how it works.
Primal is probably easiest for now, but I like the idea of hosting a p2p backup. Keet is very easy. I think that's the best option, especially if you have a following because the mlre peers yiunhave the better. It's just not open source yet.
I guess I don't have a great answer yet.

What do you use for hosting video by the way? I'm considering using something like Jellyfin or PeerTube with holesail, but it might be too early.

I'll check it out. I happened to search for a Jack quote on nostr yesterday and found one of these clips. I added it to my latest blogpost to experiment using HTML5 on nostr.
I didn’t even know it was you until I saw this post.😅
I hope you don’t mind.
