Nothing against on-prem. Plenty of pramatic ways to leverage data mesh architecture at scale localy. Same for internal clouds. And yes, at certain scale it can be much, much cheaper if built and managed diligently. Also much safer, at least until one of the interns at DOGE get access to your 🤣.

Some places you drive to and do a foot patrol for 10-15 minutes. Sometimes you sit in the car for 30 minutes to an hour. It all depends on the site/contract.
And then there's the distance. There's a company that patrols downtown and it's like 50 hits in 12 hours, but they're only doing every building within a mile or like several city blocks. Some sites are 45 minutes away from each other. There's a lot of variables.

and I'm guessing it casts the zero to the type of p?
But zero cast to a pointer type is a null pointer, and all null pointers are equal, so this should be fine?
But if you tried to cast a null pointer back to an integer, you might not get a zero (eg. on an arch that uses tagged pointers) ?
At least that's my read on this, but I haven't read the whole standard...

I run finance in the background of my mind during most conversations. Typically people aren't interested in it, but would greatly benefit from understanding it the way I do.
