I’m fairly certain that if we leave it to its own devices… it will never finish.
So, I finally went ahead and created backups of her entire user directory, and the (i)Photo library that it created from her “photos in the cloud.”
Since a viable (i)Photo Library was the ONE thing we were hoping to gain from this cloud farce, I made a point of testing it on my M2 Mac.
After it spent a few minutes converting it to the latest format, it opened as expected. Yay!

【ワシントン共同】トランプ米大統領は21日放送のラジオ番組のインタビューで、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻についてプーチン大統領の責任を認めなかった上、プーチン氏が望めばウクライナの「全土を占領できるだろう」と述べた。ウクライナのゼレンスキー大統領が和平交渉を「難しくしている」と批判し、希少な鉱物資源の米国への供与を改めて迫った。
ゼレンスキー氏には和平交渉のカードがないとし、同氏の交渉参加は「正直言ってそれほど重要ではない」と主張。24日で侵攻3年となるのを前に、ロシア寄りの姿勢を鮮明にした。ウクライナ批判を先鋭化させており、反発が広がりそうだ。
ロイター通信は21日、トランプ政権がウクライナに対し、鉱物資源供与に合意しなければウクライナ軍が通信に使う米衛星インターネット接続サービス「スターリンク」を遮断する可能性があると警告したと報じた。
トランプ氏は「ロシアが攻撃した」としたが、侵攻の責任がプーチン氏にあるとの論調には「うんざりしている」と憤った。
