Marcel Duchamp: ศิลปะที่เหนือศิลปะ
1. ชีวิตและจุดเริ่มต้นของ Duchamp
Marcel Duchamp เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 28 กรกฎาคม ค.ศ. 1887 ที่เมือง Blainville-Crevon ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ในครอบครัวที่เต็มไปด้วยบรรยากาศของศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม พี่ชายของเขา Jacques Villon และ Raymond Duchamp-Villon ก็เป็นศิลปินเช่นกัน Duchamp เริ่มต้นด้วยการศึกษาที่ Académie Julian ในปารีส แต่เขารู้สึกว่าสถาบันศิลปะเหล่านี้เต็มไปด้วยกรอบเก่าและต้องการสร้างสิ่งใหม่ที่ก้าวพ้นขนบเดิม

ระหว่างปี 1915-1923 Duchamp สร้างผลงานที่ใช้เวลายาวนานที่สุดของเขา “The Large Glass” หรือ “The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even” เป็นแผ่นกระจกขนาดใหญ่ที่ Duchamp ใช้เทคนิคทดลองและแนวคิดทางเพศมาจัดวางอย่างซับซ้อน
