About downloading and jailbreaking e-books from #Amazon before it becomes impossible. I very rarely re-read a book after less than 15 years. The labour cost of downloading the files, jailbreaking them and archiving them in such a way that I can find them 15 years from now is not worth it for me. Particularly not since the books may still be available in the online reader at that time.

hey im new to tauri and i wonder if im overlooking something with getting access to the camera for my app.
my app is working as expected as a webapp, but when i open my app from a tauri built APK, it seems it doesnt have access to the camera permission and it doesnt ask for it either.
when searching in the docs, i would expect to see something related in the section here: https://v2.tauri.app/plugin and while i see things like barcode-scanner, im surprise there isnt something more explicitly related to regular camera access.
maybe im looking in the wrong place?

Way to go! I think this will benefit you if you pull it off. I remember seeing people who would speedrun in university. They were usually a bit older than your usual college student. Many already had the skills needed but they were looking for credentials.

So, tonight's project was downloading over 4000 Kindle books, stripping off the DRM, and converting them to EPUB so I can have a backup of the books I bought before Amazon makes that impossible on Monday.
I wish I'd realized that Calibre was going to beep after every book before starting a batch conversion right before going to bed. Will I fall asleep or will I get out of bed to mute the sound on my computer? I guess we'll find out…
