I don't think the EU would win a trade war today, no. But it's all meaningless. The people that decide these outcomes control both the USA and the EU. Where they decided that the EU would win trade wars in the 90s, 00s and 10s they now decided that war needs to be waged against Russia, EU energy infrastructure needs to explode and Germany needs to deindustrialize.
