I was reading somewhere that a lot of entrepreneurs are basically "unemployable"... At first I was like, what does that mean? That they're "unskilled", or difficult people to work with?
What it means is that once you've gotten into some highly specialized niche of knowledge and experience, trying to put that into a "resume" just reads like gobbledygook to anyone working at a large enterprise. You don't fit into any box, you don't have a "legible" career to them, so there's no place for you.

I did a big refactor of Ditto that hasn't exploded yet. Basically it's a "librarification" of Ditto, where Ditto has been broken up into multiple smaller testable packages with minimal dependency overlaps. This is the first step towards something I am calling "Ditto Core," which is basically Ditto as a relay only, with high powered search functionality, no Mastodon API, and a weird multitenant thing based on the NIP-85 "Trusted Assertions" proposal.

The decent majority of America, preferring MLK to BLM, just rejected the politics of racial grievance peddled by Biden and the rest – they’re hardly now going to say: ‘Yay, fascist salutes.’

This may seem odd given my position on secure boot, but: I think Boot Guard is absolutely pointless in almost all real-world scenarios, and in the scenarios where it matters I think TPM-backed measurement gets almost all the benefit without restricting what users can do with their firmware. AMD's Platform Secure Boot is even more pointless, since it can be bypassed by simply replacing the CPU with an unfused one.
