A bureaucracy exists for the purpose of the bureaucracy. It may incidentally serve a societal need, but its primary goal is to continue existing, often at the expense of the people it purports to serve.

I think that concept applies to negativity in general. Nostr isn't pleasant because we don't share any negativity. There is tons of anti fiat, anti government, and anti crypto sentiment shared here. Since they are common enemies for most of us it is negativity with instead of negativity at.
We could step back and make that choice intentionally. We will need to if we want to keep nostr pleasant as more diverse social groups join.

The contract started in 2021 after a “Biden Transition team member joined the non-profit".
“Government disclosure forms show Endeavor's revenues shot up in 2021 from $50 million to $658 million, reaching a peak of $1.1 billion in 2022”
DOGE and DHS have since terminated this contract.
