Das Auswärtige Amt war mal ein Leuchtturm der Diplomatie. Das ist Vergangenheit. In aktuellen Tweets auf der Plattform X zeigt das Ministerium, worum es heute geht: Angst vor Russland zu schüren. Im Kopf der hohen Regierungsbehörde droht Russland, schon bald in Polen zu stehen – und sogar den Krieg nach Deutschland zu „tragen“. Verrückte Annahmen – die aber gefährlich sind. Denn sie bedienen den Feindbildaufbau. Ein Kurzanalyse von Marcus Klöckner.

Das ist der erste von 5 Tweets auf der Plattform X, die das Auswärtige Amt am Mittwoch veröffentlicht hat. Die Tweets beziehen sich auf eine Rede von Außenministerin Annalena Baerbock bzw. geben diese direkt oder indirekt in Teilen wieder.
Zur Analyse:
„Frieden erreichen wir“, so Baerbock, „nur durch eine starke und freie Ukraine in einem starken Europa.“ Das ist falsch. Frieden erreichen wir, wenn die geostrategischen und tiefenpolitischen Zündeleien des Westens aufhören; Frieden erreichen wir, wenn russische Sicherheitsinteressen respektiert und die NATO aufhört, immer weiter und näher an Russland heranzurücken.
Die Aussage, „sonst trägt Putin den Krieg weiter, auch zu uns“, steht substanzlos, ohne jeden Unterbau im Raum. Zugespitzt gefragt: Wie will Putin denn den Krieg zu „uns“ „tragen“? In einem Eimer? So gefragt zeigt sich schnell, wie „dürr“ in ihrem Wesensgehalt die Formulierung ist – der propagandistische Ansatz kommt zum Vorschein. Die Sprache der Propaganda muss einfach gehalten sein und für jeden verständliche Sprachbilder bedienen.
Es reicht an dieser Stelle, die Propaganda nur etwas anzukratzen, und für jeden ist zu erkennen, wie hohl das Gesagte ist. Wofür soll dieses „Tragen“ denn stehen? Gesagt wird letztlich, dass Putin Deutschland angreifen wird – also mit militärischen Mitteln. Das wirft die Frage auf: Wie könnte das aussehen? Um effektiv gegen die NATO vorzugehen, müsste ein umfassender Atomschlag erfolgen. Und dann? Was wäre dann? Dann würde die NATO mit ihren Atomwaffen reagieren. Ein nuklearer 3. Weltkrieg mit der Zerstörung Europas, der USA und Russlands wäre die Folge.
Hier zeigt sich, wie absurd die Äußerung des Außenministeriums ist. Das Geschriebene reicht aber aus, um Angst bei all jenen zu schüren, die die Propaganda nicht durchschauen können oder wollen.
Europas Verteidigung kann nur gelingen, wenn wir sie groß & mutig denken. Es braucht Investitionen in nie dagewesenem Ausmaß. Es wäre deshalb wichtig, den 🇪🇺 Stabilitäts- und Wachstumspakt zu lockern, damit Mitgliedstaaten ihre Verteidigungsausgaben weiter hochfahren können. 2/5

„Groß & mutig denken“? Größenwahnsinnig wäre der treffendere Begriff an dieser Stelle.
Auch hier blinzelt die Propaganda durch: „Groß und mutig“ – das ist eine positiv besetze Formulierung. Wer wäre schon nicht gerne „groß und mutig“? Oder: Wer möchte schon nicht wenigstens dabei sein, wenn es darum geht, „groß und mutig“ zu sein?
Auf eine Weise, die an Nepper, Schlepper, Bauernfänger erinnert, versucht das Auswärtige Amt hier, die Bürger zu manipulieren. Die Bürger sollen sich in der Propaganda verfangen. Und das hat einen Grund. Wie es immer wieder beim Einsatz von Propaganda zu beobachten ist: Auf den Feindbildaufbau und auf das Schüren von Ängsten folgt die „Erlösung“ bzw. die „Lösung“ für ein „Problem“ – das in der Realität nicht existiert. „Investitionen in nie dagewesenem Ausmaß“ sollen das Problem „lösen“. EU-Mitgliedsstaaten sollen ihre „Verteidigungsausgaben“ weiter „hochfahren können.“
Unterm Strich geht also um mehr Geld für die Rüstungsindustrie und darum, dass die Bürger dem Kurs der Hochrüstung zustimmen (aus Angst).
Zudem brauchen wir einen europäischen Verteidigungsfonds auf der Höhe der Herausforderungen. Nur ein starkes und vor allem selbstbewusstes Europa wird sich in dieser neuen Welt behaupten können. 3/5

Wie schon in dem ersten Tweet stellt das Ministerium eine Behauptung in den Raum, die ohne Unterbau einfach als gesetzt betrachtet wird. Da spricht das Ministerium von einer „neuen Welt“, in der es sich zu „behaupten“ gelte. Wie will man es dem Auswärtigen Amt sagen? Vielleicht so: Es gibt keine „neue Welt“. Was es gibt, ist ein Stellvertreterkrieg in der Ukraine, der jederzeit zu einem friedlichen Abschluss gebracht werden könnte – wenn der politische Wille dazu da wäre.
Wir müssen in Europa für unsere eigene Sicherheit einstehen können & unsere Abschreckungsfähigkeit weiter erhöhen – mit allen uns zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln. Ist Europa schwach, stehen Putins Truppen schneller im Baltikum oder in Polen, als wir uns das vorstellen wollen. 4/5

Hier spricht das Auswärtige Amt in der ersten Person Plural. „Wir“ – damit vereinnahmt das Ministerium die Bürger. Es versucht eine (Interessen-)Einheit zu simulieren.
Die Formulierung „eigene Sicherheit“ hat einen manipulativen Charakter. Der Begriff „Sicherheit“ bedient erneut Ängste. Wenn von Sicherheit die Rede ist, muss es auch „Unsicherheit“ geben. Wieder versucht das Ministerium auf manipulative Weise, Zustimmung beim Leser zu gewinnen.
Die Formulierung „Abschreckungsfähigkeit“ ist von einer Lüge geprägt. In ihr steckt der Begriff „Schrecken“ drin. In dem veranschlagten Kontext bedeutet „Abschreckungsfähigkeit“, dass es einen „Schrecken“ gibt (Putin/Russland), den es „abzuschrecken“ gilt, also fernzuhalten. Dieser „Schrecken“ existiert aber nicht.
„Ist Europa schwach, stehen Putins Truppen schneller im Baltikum oder in Polen, als wir uns das vorstellen wollen“ – diese Aussage ist eine Wiederholung. Sie ist fast identisch mit dem letzten Satz im ersten Tweet, wonach Putin den Krieg „zu uns“ tragen werde. Auch hier kommt ein typisches Propagandamerkmal zum Vorschein. Wer eine Botschaft in den Köpfen verankern will, muss sie wiederholen.
Fazit/Einschätzung
Mit diesem Tweet bzw. Thread stellt sich das Auswärtige Amt in die Reihe der Propagandaproduktion. Substanzlos beschwört das Ministerium die Gefahr eines russischen Angriffs auf Deutschland. Das Ministerium sagt: „Frieden in Europa erreichen wir nicht, indem wir die Realität ausblenden“, und vollzieht dann in der Folge selbst den Bruch mit der Realität – um seine Politik der Aufrüstung auf eine Legitimationsbasis zu stellen.
Im besten Falle beruht die Positionierung des Auswärtigen Amtes auf „Dummheit“ bzw. einer völligen Fehleinschätzung der Realität, an die deutsche „Top-Diplomaten“ tatsächlich glauben. Wenn dem so ist: Das wäre fatal und würde von einer zum Himmel schreienden Inkompetenz zeugen. Oder aber: Zumindest Teilen des Auswärtigen Amt ist sehr wohl bewusst, dass das Schreckensszenario vor einem „bösen Russland“ der Realität nicht standhält. Dennoch setzt aber das Ministerium auf Angstmache.
Vermutlich dürfte es eine Kombination aus beidem sein, sodass die Öffentlichkeit mit derartigen Tweets belästigt wird. Innerhalb des Ministeriums wird es sicherlich manipulierte Manipulateure geben, die – aus welchen Gründen auch immer – das Feindbild Russland im Kopf haben. Allerdings ist davon auszugehen, dass beim Auswärtigen Amt durchaus kluge Leute vertreten sind, die wissen, dass der propagierte Unsinn nicht der Realität entsprechen kann. Der Tweet ist zudem so offensichtlich propagandistisch angelegt, dass von einer bewussten Manipulation ausgegangen werden kann.

🍆 I made the best ever eggplant and chickpea dish last night in the slow cooker function of the #InstantPot.
📖 The recipe is Macedonian Chickpeas, Eggplants and Tomatoes, from The Cooking of the Eastern Mediterranean, by #PaulaWolfert.
🍅 A few bits (onion, green capsicum, eggplants) are sauteed quickly then tomatoes, LOTS of parsley, greek oregano, bay leaves is added, then tomatoes. Simmered for 10 mins then mixed with chickpeas and slow cooked for 3 hours.
🌶️ The recipe also includes chillies, but I added the water used to swish around the blender after I pureed the fermented chillies. It was a perfect heat!
🍅 All from the garden except onion and chickpeas.
✅ The recipe punches above its weight!! Very special. Lots in the fridge for 'ron. 😋

In 1862, explorer José María Melgar y Serrano uncovered a colossal stone sculpture at Tres Zapotes, Mexico — and the mystery of the Olmec heads was born.
In the years since, 17 stone heads dating to around 3,400 years ago have been uncovered in modern-day Mexico. Researchers believe they were made by the Olmecs, a Mesoamerican civilization that predated the Aztecs and the Maya.
Each head has distinct facial features and was likely painted in vibrant color — and scholars have suggested they were meant to depict different rulers. Curiously, many of them appear to have been intentionally buried, perhaps to symbolize shifts in power or as a form of ancestor worship.

Don't give up. Never say never. Things can turn around. You will provide value to someone, somehow.
I've been through divorce, lost my job, been through family court, got married, nearly died from cancer, lost my home, and none of my Bitcoin made it through.
But nearly four years ago my son was born, so I've been doing anything I can to save a few sats here and there, mostly by selling crap I don't need, or doing odd little jobs for people I know, while I do the most valuable thing I can, raising a happy and healthy boy.
Directly looking after your family is more important than a stack of sats.
