"A recent study published in Oxford’s Journal of Sexual Medicine sampling 107,583 patients found that sex-change surgery doubles depression rates among gender dysphoric individuals rather than reducing them.
Males who underwent surgery had a depression rate of 25.4%, compared to 11.5% in those who did not have surgery. Likewise, females who underwent surgery had a depression rate of 22.9%, compared to 14.6% in those who did not."

Nach Medienangaben lehnte Ungarn bei einem Treffen der EU-Botschafter den Entwurf eines Dokuments mit Sicherheitsgarantien und weiterer Militärhilfe für die Ukraine ab. Budapest hatte zuvor argumentiert, die Gelder würden für die Fortsetzung der Kämpfe verwendet.

Ungarns Vertreter sollen bei einem Treffen der EU-Botschafter am 28. Februar den Entwurf eines Dokuments über die Bereitstellung von Sicherheitsgarantien und militärischer Unterstützung für die Ukraine blockiert haben. Dies berichtet die Zeitung Politico.
"Bei einem Treffen von EU-Botschaftern am Freitag lehnte Ungarn den Entwurf eines Dokuments zur Ukraine ab, das Sicherheitsgarantien für Kiew und ein weiteres militärisches Hilfspaket vorsah."
Die Absicht Budapests, die Bereitstellung von 20 Milliarden Euro Militärhilfe für Kiew zu blockieren, war vom ungarischen Außenminister Péter Szijjártó am 24. Februar bekannt gegeben worden. Er begründete diese Haltung damit, dass das Geld dazu verwendet würde, "den Krieg in der Ukraine zu verlängern, während die Hoffnung auf Frieden stärker ist denn je."
Der europäische Friedensplan, der unter anderem Sicherheitsgarantien für die Ukraine vorsieht, wird seit Februar aktiv diskutiert. Die umfassenden Besprechungen begannen mit einem vom französischen Präsidenten Emmanuel Macron einberufenen Gipfel am 17. Februar in Paris. Der zweite Gipfel der europäischen Staats- und Regierungschefs fand zwei Tage später, am 19. Februar, statt.
Frankreich und das Vereinigte Königreich entwickelten in der Folge einen Plan mit Sicherheitsgarantien für die Ukraine. Macron enthüllte am 2. März die Einzelheiten des Vorhabens. Es sieht demnach eine "Waffenruhe in der Luft, auf See und für die Energieinfrastruktur" vor, die einen Monat lang andauern soll. Die zweite Phase sieht die Stationierung europäischer Militärs als Friedenstruppen vor.
Laut Bloomberg wollen beide Länder US-Präsident Donald Trump unter der Bezeichnung "Europa Plus" in Kürze eine Gruppe von Staaten vorstellen, die bereit wären, sich an der möglichen Entsendung von Friedenstruppen zu beteiligen und Sicherheitsgarantien zu geben. Trump ist der Ansicht, dass die Garantien für Kiew von Europa ausgehen sollten.
Kiew fordert Sicherheitsgarantien vom Westen. Die Ukraine betrachtet diese als Voraussetzung für den Beginn einer friedlichen Lösung. Wladimir Selenskij besteht auf der Entsendung von 100.000 westlichen Militärangehörigen.
Die Stationierung von Friedenstruppen aus NATO-Ländern in der Ukraine ist für Moskau allerdings völlig inakzeptabel. Dies erklärte der russische Außenminister Sergei Lawrow. Russland steht der Idee, ein europäisches Friedenstruppenkontingent in der Ukraine einzusetzen, ablehnend gegenüber und betrachtet dies als einen Schritt zur Eskalation des Konflikts.
