Watched the last season of StarTrek Discovery, in which the crew race against a couple of renegades to solve clues that lead them to technology left by the ancients that spread life around the galaxy.
Ridiculous.
I quite liked the renegade characters, star crossed lovers fighting to empires to survive. And the crew of Discovery include some decent character with nice arcs.
The idea that Next Gen era scientists left clues that future people would follow 800 years later is like something out of a game rather than a drama though. Makes no sense. Those guys should have done what burnham does and burn it instead of hiding it for more peaceful times.
And those last 20 minutes of happily ever after wrap up was terrible. Sentimental schmaltzy bullshit. Certainly should have cut that, showing aged characters in retirement and the last mission to just abandon t
he ship. Nope. Would have all been better without any of that.
Farewell then Discovery. You started before Kirk and ended a thousand years latter. I enjoyed most of it, and it was better than Archer's Enterprise, but a long way from the best of trek.

Galera, eu tenho um caso de uso onde REALMENTE preciso de uma distro LEVE, pois tenho só 2GB de RAM, um Celeronzinho N2840 de CPU e só 16GB de armazenamento.
Há cerca de 1 ano, instalei uma disto baseada em Arch chamada Archcraft, focada em ser bonita e levíssima ao mesmo tempo. Na medida em que fui me sentindo à vontade no Arch e aprendendo a usá-lo, fui fazendo ajustes e hoje ele boota com cerca de 900MiB de RAM e mantê-lo entre 1.2 ~ 1.7 GiB em deep work. Às vezes dá uns picos, mas é bem raro e nunca trava. O espaço em disco me incomoda um pouco, pois a instalação me deixa com pouco mais de 4GiB de armazenamento e às vezes por causa do swap e às vezes eu tenho que me virar nos 30 com as atualizações do pacman e não limpar o cache não é uma opção.
O Archcraft foi uma ótima porta de entrada confortável para o Arch, mas eu acho que conseguiria o mesmo resultado com ainda menos uso de recursos fazendo uma instalação mínima do Arch puro, mas queria saber de vocês: Alguém tem experiência o suficiente para afirmar que tem como fazer uma instalação de Arch com Openbox, BSPWM, Rofi e Polybar, etc. que inicia com razoavelmente menos que 900 MiB (digamos 800MiB ou menos), ou não vale o esforço?
