Probably my favourite is my TWSBI Diamond Mini. It is made of plastic resin, but is very sturdy and came with its own mini maintenance kit. It uses bottled ink, not cartridges, and I have a TWSBI glass inkwell that the pen barrel plugs into for mess-free refills. Definitely a smooth writer.
But there's a fountain pen out there for everyone, whatever they're looking for, and a wealth of expertise which people are happy to share.

Yep, I get it. Although as an introvert loner there were never big to-dos. And being with the hubs for over 20 years, we're pretty set in our ways. The kid likes to make a big deal now, so it's fun to see him excited. I also feel like it's your day and you should do what you want. Spending time alone is how you recharge. Tulsi Gabbard said Friday that the Trump administration will aggressively investigate people in U.S. spy agencies who leak information to the public,
citing recent stories on national security topics in The Washington Post and other news outlets.
Gabbard, who coordinates the work of 18 U.S. intelligence agencies, said in a statement that what she termed “politically motivated leaks” undermine national security
“and will not be tolerated.”
“Unfortunately, such leaks have become commonplace with no investigation or accountability.
That ends now,” she said.
“We know of and are aggressively pursuing recent leakers from within the Intelligence Community and will hold them accountable.”
In posts on X, Gabbard cited reporting by HuffPost, The Post, NBC and the Record as
“recent examples of unauthorized leaks.”
In The Post’s case, she cited “information on Israel/Iran,”
