A influenciadora digital Mariana Michelini se tornou uma vítima do uso de Polimetilmetacrilato, também chamado de PMMA, durante uma harmonização facial. A substância plástica, que o corpo humano não absorve, foi usada pela dentista Damaris Grace de Jesus, em dezembro de 2020, na paciente.
Mariana havia achado que o procedimento estético, realizado na cidade de Matão (SP), foi feito com ácido hialurônico – muito usado para dar volume a determinadas áreas do corpo e suavizar linhas de expressão.
Mas, como ela estava sentindo muita dor e inchaço, buscou ajuda médica. "Acordei totalmente com a boca inchada, com o queixo inchado, desesperada [...] parecia que ia explodir a minha boca."
"Cheguei lá (no médico) falando: doutor, é o ácido hialurônico. Então, a primeira coisa a se fazer é usar uma enzima para degradar essa substância. Ele injetou uma ampola inteira da enzima e nada aconteceu [..] ", dise Mariana. E foi assim que o médico descobriu que havia sido usado o PMMA.
"Eu entrei em desespero, eu achei que eu fosse morrer", disse a influencer.

Segundo o presidente do Conselho Federal de Medicina (CFM), o Polimetilmetacrilato é um produto não absorvível que causa lesões crônicas, inflamatórias, e o pior: leva a lesão para o rim. Esse produto, quando é administrado, independente de quem administre, ele é difícil de ser removido, causando sequelas irreversíveis.
A Anvisa só autoriza o uso do produto para médicos e dentistas, em duas situações:
No preenchimento do rosto e do corpo;
e na correção de deformidades no rosto no pós-tratamento de pessoas que foram infectadas com o vírus HIV.
E no final de janeiro, o Conselho Federal de Medicina pediu à Anvisa a proibição da venda e uso do PMMA no Brasil.
A influenciadora digital realizou diversas cirurgias para tentar recuperar o rosto. Além disso, a defesa da dentista, que aplicou a substância, informou que um processo foi aberto por Mariana contra Damaris.

The dangerously spiralling mental health crisis in America was on full show Tuesday as the City Council in Worcester Massachusetts voted in favour of becoming a “sanctuary city for the transgender community.”

City officials voted to enshrine a commitment to transgender rights, and not to prevent people seeking so called ‘gender-affirming care.’
The measure will also prevent information on transgender identifying and ‘gender diverse’ individuals being shared with out-of-state agencies.
The vote was brought after Councilor-at-Large Thu Nguyen, a non-binary identifying member of the board, alleged that ‘they’ had been harassed and misgendered by other city officials.
A parade of individuals spoke for hours in public comments about how unsafe they feel since President Trump’s signed an executive order outlining that the federal government recognizes only “two sexes, male and female.”
Practically every person who spoke at the hearing appeared and sounded completely unhinged, again underscoring that this is a mental health problem that shouldn’t be normalised.

While nine city officials voted in favour of the measure, two voted against, reasoning that the city could lose thousands of dollars in federal funding from the Trump administration.
“There are no new rights that this resolution gives that don’t already exist. However, there’s a potential for federal dollars to be taken away from the City of Worcester,” said Councilor-at-Large Morris Bergman.

Die Frage ist: Prüft der Provider nur die Compliance oder stellt er auch die Regeln auf. Im ersten Fall, ist das außerhalb seiner Verantwortung, dass die Compliance zu der Security-Strategie passt.
Meine Erfahrung ist leider, dasss dort ein Disconnect normal ist. Es gibt eine Compliance, die oft nicht auf die Security einzahlt. Die wird nur Erfüllung formaler Vorgaben gemacht.

You know who's going to deal with those costs? The poor and middle class. Those who have the least will be deprived the most. It's easy to wave off the consequences if you're in a position to not care about them, but there are hundreds of millions of people who will suffer. Depending on which services are gutted, many of them will die, or subject abject poverty and need, all while the the wealthiest sit back and watch without a shred of empathy or concern. I can't so easily wave off the consequences, not because I'm going to be at risk, but because so many innocent people will be.
