My parents were (50% still are 😆)in this mindset and I grew up with it. The bible gives easy answers were science might fail to provide us with such. There might be answers, but not always easy. In other cases we need more time for science to prove things.
I don't believe in the almighty creator, but there's also true stories in the bible. I just doubt that the people writing it had the understanding of what was happening around and before them (misinterpretation, adding or leaving out stuff etc.)

Volgens Iraanse media zijn de twee in de zuidoostelijke stad Kerman opgepakt. Wanneer dat is gebeurd is onduidelijk. De Britten zouden zich aan "veiligheidsgerelateerde misdrijven" schuldig hebben gemaakt.
Het Iraanse staatspersbureau IRNA meldt dat de Britse ambassadeur in Iran de twee Britten op het kantoor van de Iraanse officier van justitie in Kerman heeft bezocht. Van de ontmoeting heeft het staatspersbureau een foto vrijgegeven gedeeld.
Over de omstandigheden waarin ze worden vastgehouden, heeft het Britse ministerie noch Iran iets bekendgemaakt.
Tientallen aanhoudingen
Iran heeft de afgelopen jaren tientallen buitenlanders en Iraniërs met een dubbele nationaliteit aangehouden, voornamelijk op beschuldiging van spionage of het in gevaar brengen van de nationale veiligheid. Minstens vijftien van hen hadden banden met het Verenigd Koninkrijk.
Volgens mensenrechtenorganisaties worden buitenlanders in Iran vastgehouden als pressiemiddel, en worden ze alleen vrijgelaten als Iran er iets voor terugkrijgt.
In 2023 executeerde Iran de Brits-Iraanse Alireza Akbari. De oud-politicus was veroordeeld voor onder meer spionage voor de Britse geheime dienst MI6. De Britse oud-premier Sunak noemde de executie destijds een "meedogenloze en laffe daad, uitgevoerd door een barbaars regime zonder respect voor mensenrechten".

说起来之前看More Perfect Union之前有期讲服装质量如何逐年下滑的，谈到Zara当年的fast fashion策略是在总部附近修若干工厂准备好很多greige goods/半成品，等设计一出来就可以立刻染色/印花/缝纫。感觉这个“抢跑”方式确实节省了时间，但另一方面又“优化”掉了很多更有意思的工艺，比如提花布料、色织面料都不适合做这种要容纳几乎无限后续可能性的素体。这次买的二手裤子感觉是棉麻混纺的，大部分线是炭灰色的，混了少量浅蓝色，远看就是非常漂亮的石青色，还因为亚麻纤维独特的“线头”而有一种星星点点的美感。这在Zara的运作方式上是必然不会考虑的，更不用说Shein了。
以及顺着这个思路也可以理解为什么平纹布斜纹布的衣服越来越少，而添加了弹力的或者jersey(t-shirt面料)越来越多——stretchy的特性能掩盖fitting的问题。(但是平纹斜纹的剪裁出来比jersey看起来要sleek一百倍啊啊啊，而且平纹的夏天凉爽一百倍啊啊啊，声嘶力竭ing)
