A lot of IT cost is constantly changing what the things does, what it's integrated with, what security tools are in place, etc. I think it's like construction, where most of the overages and profit come from clients constantly changing their minds about what they want mid project.

Mass layoffs now paused at US nuclear weapons agency
Managers with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) are frantically calling employees back and telling them that -- as of right now -- they're not fired,
despite some receiving termination emails and phone calls on Thursday.
Their badges are getting turned back on and access to federal systems is being restored, at least temporarily.
Hundreds of probationary employees were terminated Thursday night in the mass Trump administration layoffs.
The move prompted concerns of a national security risk because the agency is responsible for maintaining U.S. nuclear weapons, transporting them,
and nuclear counterterrorism, among other missions.
NNSA held an all-staff meeting Friday morning, announcing the DOE had agreed to pause the layoffs, due to the agency's national security mission.
NNSA staff tell ABC News they are in a holding pattern. They're still bracing for firings

Duitse defensieminister Pistorius fel over toespraak Vance: 'Onacceptabel'
De toespraak van JD Vance vandaag was "onacceptabel", vindt de Duitse defensieminister Boris Pistorius. Hij sprak kort na de toespraak van de Amerikaanse vicepresident op de veiligheidsconferentie in München.
Pistorius begon zijn toespraak door te zeggen dat hij een tekst had voorbereid die over de veiligheid in Europa ging, maar zei dat hij de woorden van Vance niet onweersproken kon laten. "Wij staan voor het recht om kritiek te leveren. Dat is vanzelfsprekend in een democratie."
Volgens de defensieminister vergeleek Vance toestanden in delen van Europa met autoritaire regimes. "Dat is niet acceptabel."
Pleidooi voor democratie
Pistorius zei dat iedereen in de democratie recht heeft op een mening. Hij benoemde daarbij ook de rechts-radicale Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), die hij een "extremistische partij" noemde.
Elon Musk, de belangrijkste en machtigste bondgenoot van president Trump, voert campagne voor de AfD. De Duitse minister zei dat de AfD, net als iedere Duitse partij, op een normale manier campagne kan voeren. "Als vicepresident Vance van de gelegenheid gebruik had gemaakt om de televisie aan te zetten, dan had hij gezien dat de lijsttrekker van deze partij primetime op tv zien was."
Democratie betekent niet dat de luide minderheid de waarheid in pacht heeft, stelt hij. "Een democratie moet zich kunnen weren tegen extremisten die de democratie willen verstoren. Ik ben blij en dankbaar om in een Europa te leven dat deze democratie en onze vrijheid iedere dag verdedigt."
Pistorius weersprak de woorden van de Amerikaanse vicepresident dat minderheden onderdrukt en tot zwijgen worden gebracht. "Wij weten niet alleen tegen wie we ons land verdedigen, maar ook waarom. Voor de democratie, de vrijheid van meningsuiting en de rechtsstaat".
Ruzie
EU-buitenlandchef Kaja Kallas reageerde ook ontzet op de toespraak van Vance. "Het voelde alsof de Verenigde Staten ruzie zochten met Europa", zei ze. "En we willen geen ruzie met onze vrienden".
Daarnaast benadrukte ze dat bondgenoten zich op grotere dreigingen zouden moeten richten, zoals de Russische agressie richting Oekraïne.

I'm using primal in a browser and and trying to get a cashu.me wallet working using NWC.
I've pasted the NWC code from cashu into primal settings. And when I ZAP a note it looks like it's worked in primal but my balance hasn't changed in cashu. And I'm getting this error message?

yeah David came up with the tapestry protocol. his ideas inspired the algorithmic feed I'm working on, but it doesn't require any additional protocol, just existing nostr list specs. it's similar to the social tagging that pubky has promoted, but tagging only profiles, not notes.
