反正我就在Steam上留言说这个系列吸引我的从来不是什么美轮美奂的视觉效果，我一点也不介意在2D画面上point and click，吸引我的血肉丰盈的人物、诙谐的对话与故事线的展开，现在舍本逐末真的难忍。
然后我经常把这个系列拿出来重玩，今天看到有一部里女主去新西兰玩真人秀，对着一个人物灌美式鸡汤：But every one is special in different ways, right? 对面的bad ass毫不领情：Nah, every one is different, very few are special.

That's not really what it means though, besides that being a mouthful.
It means repeated application of a function/procedure on a same target will not alter its result.
One *can* achieve that by adding checks, there are a lot of other ways too depending on the kind of state and how it is managed.
idempotence -> idem, same (this is actually used by at least some French speakers in regular speech); potence, potent, potential, capacity. It's very straightforward actually.
So a function having "capacity for identical/the same results on application regardless of number of iterations insofar as this number is superior to 0".

Yesterday, I was finally able to compile Amethyst after a month. We had a massive refactoring/clean up of our Quartz library for Nostr to get it closer having fully separate caches for each NIP. It changed the code of all of the 75 NIPs we currently support. We are still not there, but now we can finally start working on it and the overall structure might not change as much.
Side effects:
- Relay hints produced by Amethyst will now be much better (which is not saying a lot... we were terrible)
- Tag definitions are now much better. There is still some old code to migrate, but now each NIP re-defines the tags the lib users are encouraged to use.
- Code quality is now vastly superior than before. The Decoupling is at all time highs. We might be able to even split Quartz into a few use-case-based repositories in the future.
