Typically Mastodon will be behind a secured server though. Keypairs aren't really like that, and you can easily correct the problem on Mastodon if things do go wrong, whereas on NOSTR you're screwed. The best you can do is revoke and reassign the NIP 05 to a new keypair, which most people won't even notice.
Lack of key rotation is a problem for more reasons than just this. Needs to be a priority.

You have to find some bias in the nonce, then exploit it. That's not an easy thing to do. And no one has done it yet. There is are a few half-ideas around key rotation, but it's hard to get people to agree. I may propose a solution at some point, because it's not all that hard.
