I've just released the first version of GitPlaza, a GitHub alternative built on Nostr. It's written in Rust, uses Iced for the GUI and rust-nostr for nostr stuff.
Current features:
- Login via nsec
- Activity feed for the people you follow (only issue creation)
- Create issues
- Comment on issues

Because no other car maker gambled on EVs. And the charging network is a loss leader.
They also have the advantage of a single supplier for their charging hardware, where as everyone else has split their investments between different manufacturers.
Tesla was also smart in that they realized high speed charging mattered, and so now there are too many slow 65kW chargers that make it harder to justify building out in some locations.
Wonder if Tesla will reneg on opening their network

I grew up in craftsman houses and have worked on many. Doesn’t change the fact that older houses develop problems with components (plumbing / wiring / foundation / HVAC / windows / etc) that make them depreciating assets. The new house will depreciate too, but at the time one is new and the other isn’t, the new one is worth a lot more.
A lot of older cars are better than new cars, but they’re still substantially cheaper. Because they’re already fucked up and will need repairs, whereas the new ones won’t likely need any repairs for many years. Exactly the same concept.

The Over-Enthusiastic Host: A grinning AI-generated smile frozen in terror, forcing interaction like an emcee at a dying carnival.
The Disconnected Ghost: A blank black tile, name floating in the void. They are technically present but spiritually absent.
The Jittering Bandwidth Victim: Moving at 2 FPS, their voice chopped into robotic syllables. S-s-sorry, I m-m-m-m-missed th-th-that...
The Obligatory Background Clown: A coffee shop exhibitionist, a car driver mid-commute, or a home office disaster zone where laundry piles loom like monuments to despair.
The Muted Lurker: Silent, lurking, their camera off. Are they paying attention? Are they even there? Nobody knows.
And let’s not forget the tiny, insidious micro-expressions that remind us we’re all awkward primates pretending to be sophisticated:
Fake, exaggerated nodding to prove engagement.
The "I'm definitely not checking Slack right now" eyes.
The "I think my face is frozen" panic-smile.
The classic mic-fumble, a frantic scramble to unmute before the moment passes.
The Paradox of the Mute Button
Oh, the mute button—a savior, a curse, an eternal social experiment. With it, we have eliminated background noise but at what cost?
The mute button allows us to pretend we’re listening while stuffing our faces with last night’s leftovers.
It fuels the false belief that meetings are efficient simply because they’re quiet.
It silences our natural, human reactions, forcing us into a disjointed, turn-based nightmare where conversations happen in awkward bursts of “Oh sorry, no you go ahead—no, you first.”
And God forbid someone actually forgets to mute—because then, the video call transforms into an auditory horror show:
Slurping.
Heavy breathing.
Keyboard smashing at aircraft-takeoff decibels.
A dog barking at the mailman while a child screams about a lost crayon.
The Lie of Digital Presence
What video calls have truly stolen from us is the very illusion they were meant to create: human connection.
Instead of face-to-face interaction, we now perform like actors trapped in a laggy, low-budget film, staring at reflections of ourselves in the corner of the screen—endlessly aware of our own posture, lighting, and resting Zoom face.
Instead of meaningful conversation, we are subject to ritualistic, time-sucking pleasantries, forced to endure corporate small talk in pixelated purgatory:
“Haha, crazy weather we’re having.”
“Looks like Todd got a new virtual background!”
“You’re on mute, Cheryl.”
All while knowing, deep down, that this entire performance is a charade, an expensive mirage of work, existing only to justify the salary of the person who scheduled it.
BDD: The Hammer to Smash the Screen of Mediocrity
Imagine, for a moment, that all this wasteful noise could be reduced to one simple artifact—a testable, verifiable, unambiguous contract of truth.
That’s what BDD offers:
No more vague "alignment"—only real, executable scenarios.
No more long-winded debates—just green or red test results.
No more pointless video call pantomimes—only meaningful verification of what matters.
In a world where knowledge is recorded instead of performed, the ritual of bobbleheaded buffoonery ceases to exist. No more video call clown shows, no more simulated engagement, no more unmuted horrors.
Just real work.
No circus required.

Ingredients:
5 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 chopped Onion
1 chopped Carrots
1 stalk chopped Celery
1 tablespoon minced Garlic
2 cups Cannellini Beans
1 Canned tomatoes
4 cups Water
1 fresh sprig Rosemary
1 fresh sprig Thyme
1 pound chopped Kale
4 thick slices Wholegrain Bread
1 thinly sliced Red Onions
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan
Instructions:
Put 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large pot over medium heat. When it’s hot, add onion, carrot, celery and garlic; sprinkle with salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are soft, 5 to 10 minutes.
Heat the oven to 500 degrees. Drain the beans; if they’re canned, rinse them as well. Add them to the pot along with tomatoes and their juices and stock, rosemary and thyme. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat so the soup bubbles steadily; cover and cook, stirring once or twice to break up the tomatoes, until the flavors meld, 15 to 20 minutes.
Fish out and discard rosemary and thyme stems, if you like, and stir in kale. Taste and adjust seasoning. Lay bread slices on top of the stew so they cover the top and overlap as little as possible. Scatter red onion slices over the top, drizzle with the remaining 3 tablespoons oil and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Put the pot in the oven and bake until the bread, onions and cheese are browned and crisp, 10 to 15 minutes. (If your pot fits under the broiler, you can also brown the top there.) Divide the soup and bread among 4 bowls and serve.
