What is needed is *resilience*, especially in the face of hybrid warfare / stochastic terrorism that causes inconveniences such as power cuts, supply chain disruptions and transport restrictions that impact on the level of freedom and affluence folk in Western Europe have taken for granted over the last few decades..

I promise I'll go back to post funny pictures and stupid jokes soon, because I do think being able to get a laugh in is as important as staying up to date on the news, and resisting fascism even in small ways.
Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor and discuss the possibility of a surgery. I feel indecisive, I can wait and risk a lot of pain and the possibility of not having coverage to get the surgery in the future, needing an emergency surgery later, or go ahead and risk the very real possibility that I might not have access to the HRT that will keep me healthy after (shocking news for Republicans, even cis women need HRT sometimes). I'm hoping my gyno will help guide me in the right direction. Thinking about these health decisions is hard enough, without having my healthcare politicized as well. I remember that my position isn't even that bad compared with many others around me right now.
This is one of the reasons I get angry when I see people acting like resistance and hope don't matter. People's actual lives are in the balance, this isn't a maybe thing for them, it's currently happening. It's scary, I know, I'm scared, but I still believe that love is stronger than hate.

OK, let's run with the assumption that the earth is not similar to all observable other bodies. What shape do you propose and why? Do you dispute being able to fly around the world in latidunal direction? There are many combinations of flights that cover this whole direction. So, that would rule out a disk like shape, leaving something like a cylinder. Or what other topology do you propose?
