My state, Missouri specifically, has laws about this.

As odd as it sounds if I had to commute to a workplace I'd save more from doing more miles where the saving justifies it better.

Reddit confirms that this app is buggy and for a LOT of people this same thing is happening. It works with Apple/Google Pay and erratically otherwise. I tell her the news, suggest she call her congressman's office (she's a former legislator, she knows him) and confirm she even needs this. If she does, maybe they can help or she can come back next week and we can try again before she leaves. I ask her to send me a postcard.
