从今天（2月21日）开始，广州首次将自动驾驶出租车（Robotaxi）开进广州市中心、机场和高铁站。广州街坊或游客，只需要在手机app上选择好地点，预约好出发时间，就能在市中心约到一台广州自动驾驶示范运营专线的车辆，便捷舒适地体验到往返广州白云国际机场和广州南站的自动驾驶服务。“在初期示范运营，车内主驾必须要配有安全员，未来这条专线有望如南沙区一样，不断推进自动驾驶车辆往车内全无人进阶。”相关工作人员告诉记者，安全员的存在，是在运营期间的必要关头，可以随时切换成人工驾驶，尽量保证出行安全。
