Got some of the demos to work with command-line appletviewer, but you have to find the exact right dir & file to load. Pages with multiple applets are borked.
We had such cool stuff in 1996 (1999?). Shame the future turned out so unbelievably shitty.

Apple added OPUS and FLAC support to AudioToolbox a while ago (iOS 17), but for some reason AVPlayer does not support it.
While I appreciate it, it feels very half ass. It’s like they want to use it internally (iMessage Audio Messages are using OPUS), but they don't want to incentivize a larger adoption of it.
So if you want to use OPUS to play audio, you need to build the whole HTTP Streaming mechanic on your own.

六、本经的译者及其时节因缘
我们这次讲解《无量寿经》所依的是五种译本中的魏本，也就是“曹魏康僧铠译”的版本。
“曹魏”是指我国历史上三国并立的时期，相对于西蜀、东吴而言，曹魏在当时是最强盛的，曹操的儿子曹丕篡权，建立国号为魏，故史称曹魏。
康僧铠是本经的译者，音译为僧伽跋摩。早期从西域来的梵僧为了入乡随俗，都会起一个带有汉姓的名字。从天竺来的就姓竺，从安息国来的就姓安，从大月支国来的就姓支，如竺法兰、安士高、支谦等。康僧铠是从康居国来到汉地，故而就以康为姓氏。康僧铠是当时精通三藏的法师，于曹魏嘉平四年来到洛阳，后来在白马寺译出此经。
在中国佛教史上有过几次译经的高潮，也诞生了许多著名的译经师，他们将佛的圣言量进行了从梵到汉的文字转化，有的是以译出甚多经论而著称，有的则仅译出一部就足以广利东土众生。康僧铠三藏就属于后者。
如果从当时的历史背景来看，三国时期的曹操虽被称为治世之能臣，但下场却很惨烈。刚开始弱君势、重己权，想方设法把汉献帝架空。后来又整日与西蜀、东吴相斗互伐，费尽了心思，无有一天宁日。结果人一死尸骨未殓，儿子曹丕就把其嫔妾霸占了去。聪明过人会称象的曹冲，也因此被其兄所压迫。魏本的《无量寿经》也正是这个历史时期译出来的，而且康僧铠将五恶、五痛、五烧的内容译得最为详尽写实，其中“臣欺其君，子欺其父，兄弟夫妇，中外知识，更相欺诳”，正是当时他们家族中的写照。经文与现实相符，更可感同身受策发众生的欣厌之心，也正是这部净土宝典来东土应世的因缘吧！

GM! Crazy idea here.
Taleb, who is a douche, wrote books with good ideas. One of those ideas is putting expiry date on systems. You know how a hospital starts with good care, but after 100 years it's the last place you'd want to be in? Fiat dynamics aside, such hospital should be taken down and started from scratch by new people.
Crazy idea? Expiry on npubs.
Instead of taking the Platform Media vibe of forever sculpting a "digital identity" or a profile, why not pull a complete 180 in it?
Temporary profiles. You use them and can't post after certain conditions are met, time being one. You start with another one. Another stab at your online presence. Let the system forget a bit.
Maybe this would take away some of the grandiousity people achieve and are in business of nurturing?
It's not a super thought through idea, mind you, just a seedling, maybe a bad one...
