The war didn’t need to happen. It was provoked. It doesn’t necessarily mean it was provoked by the Russians. There were all kinds of conversations back then about Ukraine joining NATO. That didn’t need to happen. It basically became a threat to the Russians.
As a reminder, no “conversations” about #NATO would ever happen if #Russia had not been threatening newly liberated Eastern European countries with return of Eastern Bloc regime all 1990’s. This was literally the only reason why these countries joined NATO in 1997-2004. It was Russia’s invasion on neutral and non-aligned Ukraine in 2014 that made it to add the goal of joining NATO in 2019. And it was Russia’s 2022 invasion on Ukraine that made #Finland and #Sweden join NATO. So let’s not mistake the cause and effect here…

Ja, Initiativen zur Demokratieförderung werden massiv Gelder zusammengestrichen, so weit, dass einige aufgeben müssen.
Ich verweise dazu nochmal auf den verlinkten Podcast:
Die Menschen der DDR kannten Demokratie als Prinzip nicht.
Sie wurde ihnen wortwörtlich über Nacht übergestülpt, womit sie nix anzufangen wussten.
Das kann bis heute in vielen Regionen ein Problem darstellen.
Aber wie gesagt, lausche am Besten mal dem Podcast, der solche Fragen sehr viel tiefgehender und fundierter aufnimmt.

Wouldn't it be relatively easy to define a standard BIP-39 derivation path for a top level nostr chain code, then derive nostr privkeys from that? And in case of breach, you can publish that chain code's xpub along with the new privkey for key rotation?
I'm not a cryptographer, but it sound like it wouldn't even be hard (maybe *because* I'm not a cryptographer 🤭)
