После года разработки состоялся релиз платформы для создания домашнего медиацентра MythTV 35, позволяющей превратить настольный ПК в телевизор, систему для записи видео, музыкальный центр, альбом с фотографиями, станцию для записи и просмотра DVD. Код проекта написан на С++ и распространяется под лицензией GPLv2.
Архитектура MythTV базируется на разделении бэкенда для хранения или захвата видео (IPTV, DVB-карты и т.п.) и фронтэнда для формирования интерфейса (web-интерфейс и GUI на базе Qt). Фронтэнд способен работать одновременно с несколькими бэкендами, которые могут быть запущены как на локальной системе, так и на внешних компьютерах. Расширенная функциональность реализуется через плагины. В настоящее время доступно два набора плагинов - официальный и неофициальный. Спектр возможностей, охватываемых плагинами - от интеграции с различными online-сервисами до средств для работы с web-камерой и организации видеосвязи между ПК.

В настройки добавлена опция выбора языка для звуковых сообщений, которая дополнила настройку для выбора языка для элементов интерфейса.
Добавлена поддержка разбора информации о каналах IPTV в формате EXTINF ("EXTINF:0,Channel_Title").
В настройки сканирования спутниковых каналов добавлены сведения о новых спутниках.
Добавлена поддержка каналов IPTV HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), зашифрованных с использованием алгоритма AES-128
Добавлена поддержка библиотеки Qt 6.6.
Значительно расширены возможности встроенного web-интерфейса (Web App, http://хост:6544/).
Прекращено сопровождение отдельного web-интерфейса MythWeb.
Мастер начальной настройки mythtv-setup, ранее объявленный устаревшим, заменён на встроенный web-интерфейс (http://хост:6544/setupwizard).

Redden wat er te redden valt, lijkt het motto. Deze hele week trekken Europese leiders naar Washington en volgende donderdag is een extra EU-top over Oekraïne en defensie in Brussel.
Met een diplomatiek offensief richting Amerika en het uitstralen van eenheid probeert de Europese Unie zich te herpakken. De afgelopen tien dagen zijn diepe wonden geslagen in de verhouding met de VS. Nu Europa van de eerste schrik is bekomen, volgt actie.
Emmanuel Macron was de eerste EU-leider door Trump werd ontvangen. De Franse president prees hem uitgebreid, maar zette ook een streep in het zand. De pogingen een einde te maken aan de oorlog, mogen niet uitdraaien op een overgave van Oekraïne, zei Macron in het Witte Huis.
Dat zal ook de boodschap zijn van buitenlandchef Kaja Kallas, die vandaag naar Washington reist voor overleg met buitenlandminister Marco Rubio. De Britse premier Keir Starmer zal Trump donderdag ongetwijfeld nogmaals hetzelfde voorhouden.
De harde woorden van de Amerikanen dat de Europeanen zelf moeten opdraaien voor hun eigen verdediging én die van Oekraïne, leidden afgelopen dagen tot voortdurend, koortsachtig overleg. "Er gaat een wervelstorm door de wereld", zei minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Veldkamp. "We staan aan het begin van een nieuw tijdperk."
Het hele weekend hing hij aan de telefoon met collega-ministers, op zoek naar antwoord op de vraag wat de Europese opstelling in de nieuwe realiteit moet zijn.
'In iedere la op zoek naar extra geld voor defensie'
Héél snel heel veel meer geld voor defensie in Europa is in ieder geval noodzakelijk. Het gaat om honderden miljarden euro's. In Brussel wordt het ene na het andere voorstel gelanceerd. Daarbij gaan alle taboes overboord.
Vorige week zei de voorzitter van de Europese Commissie al dat ze de Europese begrotingsregels wil versoepelen zodat landen makkelijker geld kunnen lenen voor investeringen in hun veiligheid. Ook wordt gesproken over gezamenlijk geld lenen voor een Europees fonds.
De Financial Times meldt intensieve gesprekken tussen de EU en het Verenigd Koninkrijk, onder meer over een 'bewapeningsbank'. Medewerkers van Commissievoorzitter Von der Leyen zijn "in iedere la op zoek naar extra geld voor defensie", schrijft de krant.
Ook moeten er extra geld en wapens naar Oekraïne, vinden Europese leiders, om het land zo sterk mogelijk te maken als het tot onderhandelingen komt. Op de extra Europese top volgende week wil buitenlandchef Kallas knopen doorhakken over concrete bedragen. Daarbij wordt opnieuw bekeken of het mogelijk is bevroren Russische tegoeden in Europa te gebruiken, ruim 200 miljard euro.
Onafhankelijk van de Verenigde Staten
Het gaat allemaal in recordtempo voor Europese begrippen. Wat het oplevert, is ongewis. Vannacht bleek bij de Verenigde Naties opnieuw hoever Amerika van Europa is weggedreven.
Op de derde 'verjaardag' van de Russische inval in Oekraïne nam de VN-Veiligheidsraad een Amerikaanse resolutie aan waarin Rusland niet expliciet genoemd wordt als het land dat de oorlog begon.
En hoewel Macron en Trump het ogenschijnlijk heel gezellig hadden, kreeg de Franse president geen enkele garantie dat de Europeanen alsnog een plek aan tafel krijgen bij gesprekken die een einde moeten maken aan de oorlog. Ook deed Trump geen toezeggingen over Amerikaanse veiligheidsgaranties voor een mogelijke Europese troepenmacht in Oekraïne die toezicht zou moeten houden op een bestand.
Voor Europa staat veel op het spel. Er is angst voor een haastige deal tussen Amerika en Rusland over de hoofden van de Oekraïners en Europeanen heen. Vooral de Baltische staten en Polen vrezen dat Poetin daardoor aangemoedigd wordt over een paar jaar andere plekken in Europa aan te vallen. Te snel te veel toegeven aan Russische eisen zou ook kunnen leiden tot een nieuwe Oekraïense vluchtelingenstroom.
NAVO-top
Er lijkt ook enige reden tot optimisme. De komst van CDU-leider Friedrich Merz als Duitse bondskanselier leidt tot hoop dat de Frans-Duitse samenwerking verbetert. Merz wil "zo snel mogelijk Europa versterken om stap voor stap echt onafhankelijk van Amerika te worden". Hij zei niet te weten hoe de NAVO er op de top in Den Haag aan toe zal zijn. "Ik weet niet of we dan überhaupt nog over de NAVO in zijn huidige vorm praten", waarschuwde hij.
Als gastheer wil Nederland een succes maken van die top. Daarvoor moet nog veel gebeuren, ook in eigen land. Tot nu toe blijft het kabinet tegen iedere vorm van lenen voor defensie in Europees verband. Ook is het niet blij met het loslaten van strenge Europese begrotingsregels. "Een achterhoedegevecht", klinkt het in de Brusselse wandelgangen.
