We received word recently that one of our long-standing clients, NFC Ring, is planning to shut down their forum toward the end of the month. While this is normally a sad time, it's worth mentioning that NFC Ring has been hosting their forum with NodeBB for over ten years! They've been with us just about as long as our self-serve hosting service has been, along with all of our ups and downs over the years.
Their forum contained a couple custom integrations, along with the earliest known NodeBB SSO plugin, and had a custom theme at one point as well.
These innovators envisioned the idea of paying for groceries with the tap of a ring years before that technology became ubiquitous. Super cool.
Nevertheless, their trust in us (a dinky little company in 2013) did not go unnoticed, and we wish them the best!

Noa Argamani, resgatada pelas forças de Israel em junho do ano passado, oito meses depois que ela e seu parceiro foram levados por terroristas da rave invadida pelo Hamas, contou que não achava que sairia viva e relembrou tudo que passou:
"Eu não conseguia me mover, não conseguia respirar. Pensei que seriam os últimos segundos da minha vida. Estar aqui com vocês hoje é um milagre".
Com a segunda fase do acordo de cessar-fogo incerta, Noa também fez um apelo pela continuação da trégua na Faixa de Gaza. O parceiro dela, Avinatan Or, ainda é refém do Hamas.
Prisioneiros palestinos não foram libertados
O primeiro-ministro de Israel Benjamin Netanyahu adiou a libertação dos prisioneiros palestinos que estava prevista para este domingo (23) e disse que quer garantias de próxima entrega de reféns do grupo terrorista Hamas.
A libertação de 602 prisioneiros palestinos estava prevista para acontecer neste domingo. O acordo faz parte da primeira fase do acordo de cessar-fogo na Faixa de Gaza, que entrou em vigor em 19 de janeiro deste ano.

Neste sábado (22), Israel recebeu os últimos 6 reféns vivos da primeira fase do cessar-fogo. A entrega dos israelenses pelo Hamas à Cruz Vermelha ocorreu em três momentos distintos do dia.
Os dois primeiros reféns entregues foram Tal Shoham e Avera Mengisto, em Rafah, cidade ao sul de Gaza, por volta das 5h deste sábado, no horário de Brasília.
Horas depois, Omer Shem, Eliya Cohen e Omer Wenkert foram entregues pelo Hamas à Cruz Vermelha em Nuseirat, na região central de Gaza.
O último refém israelense, Hisham Al-Sayed, foi entregue à Cruz Vermelha pouco antes das 10h no horário de Brasília, informaram as Forças de Defesa de Israel (FDI).

Sidnei Soares acorda todos os dias mostrando que nunca é tarde para correr atrás dos sonhos e vencer os desafios. Aos 64 anos, ele cursa o 7º período de Engenharia Elétrica e atualmente exerce uma função normalmente realizada por jovens: a de estagiário.
A idade é só um número, nada mais. Tudo depende de você encarar seus medos, pois os sonhos não são somente para sonhar, são para ser realizados", diz Sidnei.

Em entrevista à Rede Amazônica, exibida nesta segunda-feira (25), Sidnei contou que não conseguiu iniciar a graduação quando era mais jovem, pois as condições financeiras na época não o permitiram. Apesar disso, ele buscou estudar por conta própria e começou a trabalhar com reparos de eletrônicos.
"O que me motiva é a minha curiosidade, isso me ajudou muito no passado a seguir estudando e trabalhando na área, já faz 40 anos". comenta o estudante.
Depois de se formar, Sidnei pretende se especializar para aumentar suas chances de conseguir uma vaga no mercado de trabalho. Uma pós-graduação em mecatrônica e prestar consultorias estão entre seus planos de carreira.
"As pessoas precisam entender que elas podem aprender qualquer coisa que elas quiserem em qualquer fase da vida", conclui o o estudante.
