Mais de 90 mandados de busca e apreensão e de prisão foram cumpridos nesta terça-feira (25) em Juiz de Fora, Ubá e Visconde do Rio Branco pelo Grupo de Atuação Especial no Combate ao Crime Organizado (Gaeco), em conjunto com a Polícia Militar.

O alvo da operação "Shenzi", segundo o Ministério Público de Minas Gerais (MPMG), foi uma organização criminosa vinculada à facção Comando Vermelho, do estado do Rio de Janeiro, suspeitos de tráfico de drogas e outros crimes violentos, incluindo homicídios.
Em balanço divulgado no início da tarde, foram realizadas mais de 70 prisões, além da apreensão de drogas, veículos e dinheiro. Veja a descrição abaixo:
45 prisões temporárias e 30 em flagrante;
46 mandados de busca e apreensão cumpridos;
17 armas de fogo, 208 munições e uma grana apreendidas;
Oito veículos e R$ 24.230,50 em dinheiro apreendidos;
584 pinos de cocaína, 116 pedras de crack, 41 porções de maconha e quatro tabletes da mesma substância, além de rádios comunicadores, balanças de precisão, coldres, coletes balísticos, bandoleiras e simulacros de arma de fogo apreendidos.
