Once upon a time, in a land where silicon was spun into gold and nerds became robber barons, the great minds of Big Tech sat down for a serious, world-changing conversation.
"How do we make trillions without actually innovating anymore?"
They had already sucked the marrow out of social media, turned gig workers into indentured servants, and convinced people that renting software at gunpoint was an upgrade. But then came the Big Idea™—a machine that could mimic human intelligence just well enough to fool the people signing government contracts.

The Big Sale to Big Gov
Enter Big Government, that eternal, lumbering beast addicted to "public-private partnerships", which is corporate-speak for "privatized profits, socialized losses."
The pitch was simple:
"AI will revolutionize governance!" (Translation: We will automate Kafkaesque bureaucracy.)
"AI will secure our future!" (Translation: We will turn mass surveillance into an API.)
"AI will empower citizens!" (Translation: We will automate you out of a job.)
And because nothing excites bureaucrats more than outsourcing thinking, the deals were signed. Billion-dollar contracts flowed like communion wine, and the Big LLM Boys laughed all the way to their offshore tax havens.
The Aftermath: The Swabbers and the Scraps
And now, here we are.
The Big LLMs chew through electricity like starving ghouls, spitting out reheated Wikipedia, while their creators pretend they've built God instead of a glorified autocomplete.
The Big Government, now lobotomized by AI-generated policy briefs, continues to shovel public money into the furnace, ensuring no small company or open-source project can compete.
And the citizens?
The citizens are still swabbing the decks—clickworkers, data-labelers, gig slaves—doing the hidden labor that makes these machines look intelligent. They're eating the scraps—dumbed-down services, AI customer support that tells them to "try turning it off and on again," and a job market where the only winners are the grifters who sold this circus to begin with.
Final Chapter: The Big "Oops"
Eventually, the bill comes due.
AI doesn’t actually fix government—it just makes the inefficiencies faster.
The job apocalypse arrives, but not for the people they promised—only for those who thought AI would “augment” them instead of replacing them.
The next economic crash is just one bad AI-generated policy away.
