Belastingaangifte kan weer, eerste was binnen na 4,5 minuut
Het is 1 maart en dat betekent dat het weer tijd is voor de jaarlijkse aangifte inkomstenbelasting.
Om middernacht ging het digitale 'aangifteloket' open en de allereerste aangifte ontving de Belastingdienst na 4,5 minuut. Vorig jaar was dat na 3,5 minuten, en het jaar daarvoor na 59 seconden. Dat was toen een record.
Dit jaar is misschien geen recordjaar maar er zijn wel flink veel meer mensen die nu al hun aangifte hebben gedaan. Om 7 uur vanochtend waren er 85 duizend aangiften gedaan en dat is 9 duizend meer dan vorig jaar.
De termijn om aangifte te doen loopt van 1 maart tot en met 30 april. Wie voor 1 mei om uitstel vraagt, krijgt tot eind augustus de tijd.
Zo'n 9,4 miljoen mensen moeten aangifte doen: 6,9 miljoen particulieren en 2,5 miljoen ondernemers. Wie dat voor 1 april doet, krijgt voor 1 juli bericht of ze geld terugkrijgen of moeten betalen.
Vooraf ingevuld
Veel gegevens zijn al door de Belastingdienst ingevuld. Die krijgt informatie van allerlei instanties, zoals banken over hoeveel geld je op je rekening(en) hebt staan, van werkgevers over je inkomen en van gemeenten over de WOZ-waarde van je huis.
"De Vooraf Ingevulde Aangifte verkleint de kans op onbewuste fouten", zegt Steef Cobben, manager inkomstenbelasting bij de Belastingdienst. "Maar soms verandert er iets in het leven van mensen, zoals een huwelijk of scheiding, het kopen van een huis of het starten van een onderneming. Vooral in die gevallen zien we dat er fouten worden gemaakt."
Hulp
Mensen die behoefte hebben aan hulp bij het invullen, kunnen die gratis krijgen. Ze kunnen bellen met de Belastingtelefoon, videobellen met een medewerker of langskomen bij een Belastingdienstbalie of steunpunt.
Ook is er dit jaar, net als vorig jaar, een bus van de Belastingdienst die door Nederland rijdt en waar je terechtkunt met vragen. Verder zijn er bibliotheken en maatschappelijke organisaties die helpen met het invullen van de aangifte.
Boete
Wie op 1 mei nog geen aangifte heeft gedaan, krijgt eerst een herinnering. Daarna volgt een aanmaning en als je dan in de 10 dagen daarna nog geen aangifte hebt gedaan, krijg je een boete van 469 euro.
Doe je dan nog steeds geen aangifte, dan maakt de Belastingdienst een schatting van je inkomen en krijg je een aanslag opgelegd en kan de boete wel oplopen tot bijna 7000 euro.
