We don't live in the mid-20th century anymore. I don't think modern economies would outside of existential crises find that at all survivable. Russia's been dependant on Soviet stockpiles and has leaned on that heavily to even get to the numbers they're reaching now, and they're not meeting demand.
It would take a lot from the EU to get those numbers up, yes. But to pretend that it's impossible is a little silly.

А, да, ещё у меня закончились меж-семестральные каникулы. Они заняли: вечер четверга, пятницу, субботу и утро воскресенья (потом собрался и уехал в общагу). Пока что сегодняшний я прошлому мне благодарен не так сильно, как прошлый я рассчитывал. Понятно, что для эффекта нужно ещё семестр подождать, но осадочек то есть уже сейчас!
Блин, кажется я понял, почему у нас так часто побеждают безмозглые политики, обещающие принимать решения для дня сегодняшнего, иногда ушедшего, которые просто ну очевидно катастрофичны для следующих поколений. Сейчас пируем, а убираться пусть будут люди из следующего созыва.
