【代表建议在全国推行“春秋假” 促进假日消费】3月4日，全国人大代表、中国工艺美术大师庞永辉在接受采访时表示，此次他在两会上提出在全国推行“春秋假”的建议。他介绍，可先在五一假期前后设立1周左右的“春假”，此后再推行“秋假”，企事业单位落实带薪休假制度，推动假日消费对经济增长的作用。
庞永辉介绍，当前国内旅游具有明显的节假日效应，在寒暑假、五一、十一等大小长假期间，旅游消费占比高，但也滋生了一些供需矛盾问题。目前，假日旅游市场呈现明显的“潮汐效应”，资源供需矛盾突出，酒店、景区等旅游设施供给承压，交通拥堵风险上升。

Before having students read about a topic, Peter Elbow (1935-2025) urged teachers to let them write down their own hunches. This makes them "more attentive to what the author wrote," curious about "how well their ideas match the material" & "braver about questioning an alleged authority.”
Apart from being impressed by how his work made writing sound so inviting, I found Elbow (in my limited interaction with him) to be genuinely curious and refreshingly undefensive. We've lost another good one.
