Here's what a healthy OKR system looks like:
~30% key results in the red (progress but not full achievement)
~30% in the amber (significant progress but short of our achievement threshold)
~30% in the green (surpassing our agreed "success" threshold)
All red? Your metrics aren't meaningful enough for people to prioritize and focus on them.
All green? That tells me you're not running enough risky experiments to learn through failure -- which means you're underperforming.

Real transformation requires experimentation and learning from both success AND setbacks.
What I love most about No-BS OKRs is watching peoples' faces light up when they make the mental shift from thinking in terms of action verbs (what we need to do) to inspired, aspirational outcomes (what might be incredible to try to achieve together?).
Definitely worth the 4am alarm clock this morning. ⏰

Most OKR-creation initiatives involve asking the obvious questions:
What should our objectives be?
What are our key results?
But I find that approach to yield low-quality OKRs.
Instead, we started by envisioning the future they want to build -- each, individually, with just 5 minutes of quiet reflection on the question:
"What could be different by January 2026?"

Yeah they're only sending your browsing preferences to ad agencies so they can figure out how to hook you better, also known as "generating engagement" or "tailoring your user experience." Nothing shifty about that at all! Clearly California is the crazy one, and their actual legislation drafted and signed by actual lawyers is at fault here, not Mozilla's clear cut legal case that they forgot to tell anyone about until some tattle tale ratted them out on the forums.
