📖 **Details**: SPHEREx is a planned two-year astrophysics mission to survey the sky in the near-infrared light, which, though not visible to the human eye, serves as a powerful tool for answering cosmic questions involving the birth of the universe, and the subsequent development of galaxies.
It also will search for water and organic molecules – essentials for life as we know it – in regions where stars are born from gas and dust, known as stellar nurseries, as well as disks around stars where new planets could be forming. Astronomers will use the mission to gather data on more than 300 million galaxies, as well as more than 100 million stars in our own Milky Way galaxy.
NASA’s Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere (PUNCH) mission will share a ride to space with SPHEREx. It consists of four suitcase-sized satellites, which will focus on the Sun’s outer atmosphere (the corona) and how it generates the solar wind. The spacecraft also will track coronal mass ejections – large eruptions of solar material that can drive large space weather events near Earth – to better understand their evolution and develop new techniques for predicting such eruptions.

Já pensou em comer um hambúrguer de coco babaçu? O produto comercializado pelas quebradeiras de coco na Amazônia maranhense usa uma parte do alimento que era aproveitada apenas para ração animal.
A proteína é feita a partir da farinha da amêndoa do babaçu, que também pode ser ingrediente também para fazer biscoitos, pães, bolos, mingaus e sorvetes.
O coco babaçu nasce da palmeira que leva o mesmo nome, nativa da Amazônia. O fruto é extraído da floresta e seu principal produto é o óleo, que pode ser usado para produção de alimentos e cosméticos.
Antes da pesquisa desenvolvida pelas mulheres das comunidades tradicionais em parceria com cientistas, o bagaço da amêndoa era considerado um resíduo da extração do óleo.
"Sabíamos que [a amêndoa] ainda tinha bastante conteúdo de lipídios, carboidratos, podendo ser utilizada como um tipo de farinha por meio de bom tratamento e processamento. A ideia era reaproveitar 100% do produto e obtivemos êxito", explicou o professor Harvey Villa, que participou do estudo.
O uso do babaçu também teve como objetivo gerar renda para as comunidades tradicionais, com uma produção de baixo impacto ambiental, disse a pesquisadora Guilhermina Cayres, líder do estudo.
"Aprendemos a assar e torrar o bagaço no forno para atingir o ponto certo e transformá-lo em farinha da amêndoa, um produto que substitui o coco ralado em todas as formulações, dá muito mais crocância e tem melhor aceitação pelos consumidores", relata Rosângela Lica, da Cooperativa Mista da Agricultura Familiar e do Extrativismo do Babaçu (Coomavi).
O produto é voltado para consumidores específicos, como aqueles com restrição ao glúten ou à lactose, explica Cayres.
A pesquisa foi desenvolvida com a colaboração de um grande grupo: mulheres da Coomavi, da Associação Clube de Mães Quilombolas Lar de Maria e da Associação de Quebradeiras de Coco de Chapadinha do Assentamento Canto do Ferreira.
Também fizeram parte dos estudos pesquisadores da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa), da Universidade Federal do Maranhão (UFMA) e da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), em parceria com a Rede ILPF e financiamento da Agência Alemã de Cooperação Internacional (GIZ) no Brasil.

O que vai na receita
Para ficar parecido com a carne de hambúrguer, os cientistas acrescentaram a casca da banana junto à amêndoa, para dar estrutura, sabor e maciez ao fritar.
Além disso, também é usada a farinha de arroz. Ela dá liga aos temperos e ajuda a melhorar a vida útil (que pode chegar a 6 meses para o hambúrguer congelado) e a qualidade nutricional, que contém 13,17% de proteína.
O hambúrguer foi saboreado por alunos do curso de gastronomia do Instituto Estadual do Maranhão (Iema). Só depois que eles aprovaram o produto, o alimento passou a ser comercializado nas feiras.
