Trackpad/mousing is a complete nightmare. I don't know what macOS does for this but Linux is using the Windows version which is awful. _I_ am doing this partly to work on https://devbox.computer revisions and also was generally curious what life was like w/out Apple.

windows being activated but not coming to the top (e.g. click on .deb in "Files", nothing happens until switch to "App Center"). Installing any software package takes 5+ minutes with fans on afterburner. I'm amazed how far Linux has come yet no regular person could ever use this in a million years.

Got a Framework Laptop. Install and setup was easy. As for Ubuntu...a lot of stuff Just Worked, however there is so much Linux Nightmare still around: copy/paste doesn't really work, key remapping works only in some apps, sometimes, lots of requests for password w/ no context
