This is why I resist working longer than 8 or so hours in a day. Sometimes I need to work longer due to the nature of the work need. Itโs been a strategy that has worked reasonably well for me. Not everyone in every industry will be able to do so. I work as a coder, system administrator, and Iโm moving into cybersecurity at my company. Thereโs no shortage of work, but there is a shortage in the number of days that my kids will stay young and think Iโm still cool and funny. Some of them have aged out already and donโt think my jokes are funny any more. :-)
