I practiced math as a student because "I won't always have a calculator in my pocket."
Turns out, I do have one in my pocket, so do most folks in my vicinity at any given time...and it understands & speaks to me in perfect fucking english!
That said, I am very glad I was taught math instead of the "I'm not a math person" mentality some kids were taught instead. Don't just get AI to code for you; actually learn how to program things, or whatever else it is you're trying to do

I think we might be giving too much credit to legacy programmers, and throwing the AI-assisted generation of programmers prematurely under the bus.
AI programmers will necessarily ask good questions, and create good context around their prompts (if they're to be judged as "skilled"). They might become the greatest requirement writers in the history of the field, where we've endured absurd mediocrity for decades.
