I think its time for some on the left to face reality. You have been lied to repeatedly and your understanding of the world has been manipulated to benefit that of others. They take social issues and bait you with them to keep you distracted from what they are really trying to get accomplished. They have turned you into a cult and if anyone steps out of line you shun them because they have a different opinion. Its ridiculous that there are so many common sense examples of where you fight for a cause that actually does damage to the people involved but you still are so convinced otherwise even when the facts are not on your side.

If you're going to present speculation, you should clearly state that it's speculation. Because like all conspiracy theories, it's presented as objective truth. It's not an established fact that Lincoln was killed by bankers. It's not an established fact that JFK was killed by bankers. Yet here both of those claims are asserted as if they were common knowledge. It's a tactic that leads people who may not be informed to accept and adopt these theories, and become yet another vector for spreading the virus. It's an intentionally dishonest presentation that seeks to persuade under false pretenses. This is why it's so important to keep your critical thinking faculties active and present when scrolling and reading these posts.

His legal record is entirely irrelevant. This is a job to lead America's health and medical agencies. This is a job for doctor with relevant experience leading major heath agencies and institutions. Look at the medical consensus. Look at the data and the research he loves to quote and misrepresent. Because they don't actually say what he claims they say. He cherry-picks pieces of data, and quotes to support his preconceived ideas which are very often directly contrary to what the data actually shows.
The man is a menace and real people are going to die if he's allowed to run these agencies. That's a fact. We will not see mortality rates go down. We will not see diseases disappear. It is unconsconable and morally reprehensible to support this man and his ego-driven ideals.

Four US Presidents were assassinated: Abraham Lincoln, James A. Garfield, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy. Each assassinated American president spoke out against the banks. The deaths of these presidents primarily benefited the bankers.
There are numerous similarities between the assassinations of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy specifically. Exactly 100 years passed between both of their presidential elections, 1861-1961. Both presidents were shot in the back of their heads on a Friday. Both assassins were killed before their trials.
The most significant resemblance lies in the motive behind their assassination and the degree of secrecy involved.
Lincoln issued debt and interest-free currency, known as "greenbacks," to fund the Civil War, instead of taking a usurious loan of around 30% from the Rothschilds' agents. These notes were not redeemable for gold or silver but served as legal tender. He said that banking powers are more despotic than monarchies, that they were his greatest enemies, and that he was worried they may create a crisis to destroy the republic.
President John F. Kennedy issued Executive Order 11110 on June 4, 1963, to issue silver certificates (interest- and debt-free). This measure restored the Treasury's authority to issue currency interest-free and debt-free, eliminating the need for borrowing from the Federal Reserve.
Ten days before he was assassinated, at Columbia University he said, "The high office of the president has been used to foment a plot to destroy America's freedom, and before I leave office I must inform the citizens of their plight.".
The next president immediately withdrew the Kennedy dollar and continued with the Federal Reserve Notes, allowing the banks to receive them at the cost of printing and subsequently loan them back to the government at interest.

What if instead of writing a note that you either want to edit later or delete you instead write a note in "publishing client" that then generates a nostr client renderable URL and it's that URL that gets sent as a note.
You don't know it's a URL because you just see the rendered note in the nostr client.
If I go back and edit the note in my publishing client the URL remains unaffected but the next time someone looks at my note what renders is the edited content of that very same URL? Think of it like the URLs from nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqpqhee433872q2gen90cqh2ypwcq9z7y5ugn23etrd2l2rrwpruss8qxc5787 's GifBuddy: You don't see the URL you just see the rendered gif naively as a note like this

非洲為何越援助越窮？揭開「援助依賴症」的騙局！
每年西方國家對非洲的援助超過 1000 億美元，但非洲依然是全球最貧窮的地區之一。
為什麼？
左派媒體的標準答案是：「因為殖民歷史，因為全球不平等，因為富國剝削窮國，所以我們要提供更多援助！」
但這真的是事實嗎？
今天，我們來揭開這個不敢公開討論的黑幕——非洲的「援助依賴症」，以及援助如何讓他們變得更窮、更依賴，而不是更富裕！
1. 援助 = 發展？錯！援助 = 貪腐 + 依賴
左派喜歡宣傳：「我們要幫助非洲！我們要拯救窮人！」
但現實是——這些援助不但沒讓非洲國家變富，反而助長了貪腐、懶惰和政府無能。
🔴 援助如何讓非洲更窮？
1️⃣ 養肥了獨裁政府，沒幫到百姓
• 根據聯合國開發計劃署（UNDP）的數據，非洲每年因貪污流失 1480 億美元，比該地區獲得的援助還多！
• 許多非洲國家的領導人將援助資金轉入私人帳戶，用於購買奢華住宅、軍火，甚至存入瑞士銀行。
• 世界銀行的報告顯示，在索馬里、南蘇丹等國家，援助資金的 70% 以上被政府挪用，並未真正用於基礎建設或社會發展。
2️⃣ 援助摧毀了當地經濟，讓人變得更懶
• 國際組織發免費糧食，結果當地農民無法競爭，直接破產，導致糧食短缺更嚴重，形成「糧食依賴」。

👉 關鍵差別在哪裡？
✅ 南韓、新加坡沒有依賴援助，而是靠市場經濟發展起來！
✅ 法治、自由市場、創業環境，才是真正的脫貧之道！
✅ 非洲的問題不是「錢不夠」，而是「不想改變」！
3. 國際組織的黑幕：援助是場生意，不是慈善
你以為「聯合國」、「世界糧食計畫署（WFP）」、「紅十字會」真的在幫助窮人？醒醒吧！這些組織本質上已經變成賺錢的騙局。
🔴 援助機構如何製造「貧窮產業鏈」？
1️⃣ WHO、聯合國的行政支出高得驚人
• WHO 在 2020-2021 年的預算中，光是行政費就占了 30%，大部分資金用於「運營開支」，而不是直接救助行動。
• 聯合國發展計劃署（UNDP） 的行政費佔總預算 37%，其中包括高管的巨額薪資與五星級會議開支。
2️⃣ 援助是永遠不會解決問題的生意
• 這些組織的目標不是「消滅貧窮」，而是「讓貧窮永遠存在，這樣才有工作機會」！

• 許多所謂的「兒童救援組織」與人口販子勾結，將孤兒送往西方國家進行非法交易。
4. 真正的解決之道
我們不能再被「援助是正義」的謊言欺騙！
如果想真正幫助非洲，應該：
✅ 停止無條件援助，改為提供經濟發展機會
✅ 要求非洲國家對貪腐負責，不能讓錢被獨裁者挪用
✅ 推動市場經濟，而不是社會主義式的救濟
✅ 告訴非洲年輕人，他們的未來不是等外國人送錢，而是靠自己努力！
👉 非洲貧窮不是錢的問題，而是文化與治理的問題！
👉 無條件援助只會讓問題更糟，非洲人要學會自立，而不是永遠等著別人來救！
這才是真正的解決之道！

I don't understand why phone apps can't just run a node in the background 24/7. I always hear "android doesn't allow background processes" but other tools have found workarounds for this. Three examples I know of: BOINC, Dreamlab, and Syncthing. Syncthing appears to run 24/7, but I know BOINC does for absolute sure. It consumes 100% of CPU 100% of the time, that is literally what it is designed to do. I have BOINC running on several different android devices and it has been running for months without interruption, while the screen is off.
No reason a LND daemon w/ LNURL server can't do this.

The Laken Riley act is really unnecessary. They need to change the laws like the Australian laws. Where the law states that anyone who enters illegally gets arrested. No expectations. You wait on jail untill you go through the process.
In the USA they will arrest illegals than let them go the same day. It makes no sense. They are technically criminals because crossing into the USA illegally is already a crime. So they are releasing criminals right away.

Extremely indoctrinated people. I was once one of them. Bought a house once when I was in my early 20's and within 1 year sold it as the math didn't make sense. I figured I could make more money else then be stick paying for an overpriced house for 25 years. Best decision ever.
The worst part no one told me how interest rates worked, they were all concerned with me buying a house because it will always go up and you will be house rich when you are ready to retire. Such ridiculous people. It's not easy growing up around you when everyone is brainwashed by real estate.
