How have you skipped practicing internet privacy if you use Monero? You can use XMR and still take plenty of precautions online. That's like saying using a tractor means you skipped learning about how to harvest wheat and therefore you should've used a sickle instead.
When I think of XMR, I think of it as being like the final draft to a paper for a college course, while I see Bitcoin as the rough draft, having a bunch of flaws that cypherpunks can take note of to improve the crypto industry with innovation based on said notes. That's what XMR is.

Poderia ser usado o wails juntamente com o Golang para servir o frontend, com ele é possível gerar o mesmo app para windows, Linux e Mac, e seu funcionamento acontece em um webview.
Também é possível fazer toda a comunicação externa usando TOR ou I2P, diretamente no backend.
Tarefas mais complexas podem tirar vantagens do Golang.

My kids play this game called Sneaky Sasquatch. You start off just sneaking around, picking food out of garbage cans, fishing … all simple stuff. As you progress you accumulate more stuff - cars, bikes, clothes etc. You get a bank account, a job and do a bunch of tasks to earn coins to pay rent. It does a good enough job at showing the insanity of life. We humans take simple things and overcomplicate them with extra layers of stuff on top of stuff and next thing you know life becomes a chore. The process of accumulation is fun and feels like winning but when you actually get there, it feels draining, empty and pointless. This game above all teaches you a lesson - to live a simple life.

Since getting into Bitcoin it transformed my life from being significantly in debt and and homeless.
I paid directly with Bitcoin for my very expensive wedding.
I paid directly with Bitcoin for my 4 bedroom, detached, new build, brick house.
I paid directly with Bitcoin for my new Toyota Tacoma.
I pay directly with Bitcoin for my property taxes and grocery store gift cards.
I do not "work".
Monero not changed my life at all, even if I held much more, it would have very little impact on my life the way Bitcoin has transformed it.
I have never purchased KYC Bitcoin and have never touched the internet using a clearnet connection since before Bitcoin was invented.
Will there ever be a use case for Monero for people like me? Probably not. After we are long gone and dead? Probably. Who cares.
If you use monero to make your transactions private, you have skipped all the education about internet privacy in general.
Great your monero is private while you're exploring the internet like a 17 year old guy in a whore house.
Bitcoin forces people to educate themselves about privacy and security.

With the doggo needing extra attention, I'm setup with my laptop for the game, and then voice comes via Discord on my phone. Interesting to discover that the Discord mobile app also times out connections after awhile if the screen isn't kept on.

Yes... water. The amount of water that AI processing units use is insane.
According a report by The Washington Post, if you ask ChatGPT to write you a 100 word email, it uses 519 millilitres of water...
That is about 1 bottle of water.
ChatGPT alone has over 200 million users...
If you assume each user writes 200 words - That would equal 207 million litres of water PER DAY.
& that is just ChatGPT - it doesn't include Meta, Google, Claude, etc.
This would make sense, as companies like Microsoft have seen their water consumption skyrocket in the past few years.
I will mention that the article I read is not heavily sourced, and there are many questions I still have.
EG: Is there water actually being used, or is it just constantly recycled?

Tokyo museum offers visitors 'flashback' to defunct technology

Tucked away in a corner of central Tokyo, the Extinct Media Museum lives up to its name.
From Betacam videotapes to floppy disks and vintage Sony devices, the museum is a showcase for old cameras and telecom equipment, including a 1916 Japanese-made "Lily" still camera, its oldest exhibit.
Amidst the three-roomed museum's cluttered shelves, visitors like 59-year-old Mika Matsuda can rewind to the past and the gadgets that were once in everyday use.
"It is fascinating not only for generations unfamiliar with these items, but also for those who lived through those times," Matsuda said on Saturday.
"Seeing these pieces feels like I'm having a flashback of our own lives. It reminded me of how things were back then -- I used to have so much fun," she said.
Opened in January 2023, the museum was founded on the belief that all media equipment, except for paper and stone, will eventually "die out", explained deputy museum curator Barbara Asuka.
